Golden Retriever Advice

We had goldens when I was a kid. Buffy was the stereotypical dumb blond, she would walk into walls and then stare at it like it had jumped out in front of her, she was just a giant love sponge and would sleep on my feet. We had her for 13 years, she as put down when my oldest was a baby. Amber was a darker redish golden and smart as all get out, strong too, but just the sweetest dog. She ended up with a really aggressive cancer and was put down when she was 12.

We have a hyper lab/dalmatian mix now, she's a great dog too but I still miss my goldens.
