Golden Oak Outpost

While doing some planning the past weekend, my DD came across the poutine-like "Brown Gravy and Cheese Waffle Fries" at the Golden Oak Outpost. I see that the Golden Oak Outpost operates "seasonally". Is there anywhere I can find out if it is open or not during our upcoming stay (August 9-19)?

They don't release those ahead of time.

Maybe if you could find someone there now who can look at the times guide for MK...not sure the current times guide would extend that far,though. Also not sure if they list the kiosks on the times guide, although they will list Tortuga Tavern.

Our experience with it in the last year (since they started selling the waffle fries like the ones you noted...and we started paying more attention to this kiosk!) is not so much whether it is open on a given day, but what time of the day it is open and/or whether they have sold out. We caught them in the early evening and were very pleased with the various versions of the fries that we got (BBQ, BLT, and the gravy/white cheddar). But we tried to hit them again later in that trip and again on a later trip, and they had already closed. I would just check with them each day that you're actually in the MK and see if and when they will be open. If not, there are plenty of other culinary delights that could take their place.

There were open over new years, and those fries were amazing! I've never seen them open in the summer, but they might be over July 4th.

Check the MK times guide when you check into your hotel (assuming you're staying on property). It'll be indicated if the Outpost is open and what the hours are. Typically it's only operating during higher-crowd days, so if I had to guess it would almost definitely be open Saturdays, but the Times Guide will be exact.

They were open during a weekday when we were there in early May. We had the brown gravy and cheese waffle fries, and they were delicious. Actually, we had to go back for seconds bc DH and DS1 were devouring them.
