i know that this show is being reworked and that it hasn't been on The Wonder in quite some time. Does anyone know when it will be returning? We are on the May 23rd Alaska cruise and am hoping it will be back by then.

Thanks!

I think it will only be back after Dry Dock (October-ish), that is what Peter (CD) said to us. We were bummed we didn't get to see it.

I had heard a rumor that it would be back on the current cruise, but I have no idea if that is true.

I hope you get to see it pixiedust:, he could have not known but he is the CD, maybe just didn't want us complaining why did they take it off on our cruise?... :confused3 but that is what he directly told us in April.

I thought Frozen came after Dry Dock to replace Toy Story(Pixar) and that casting call in Canada for some revisioned show was to start on Alaska dates.

I have faith in what Peter said as true, I just don't know what's left for us to watch on a 7 day cruise. The magicians are only so funny and I feel like I'm at a kids party.

My first 7 day cruise I had All Aboard, Golden Mickeys, Villains, Once, and whatever the last one is called...?Till We Meet Again????
So we had 5 stage productions and 2 variety acts. So what will I have now?...Hello, Toy Story and Good Bye? Only 3 shows on a 7 night, 3 port trip? Please say there is more. I can't do 4 days of magic tricks and illusions.
Maybe one of the magicians can make 2 more shows appear!

I think the Wonder also has Disney Dreams. Pretty good show in my opinion. So, it should be 4 shows on a 7 night and one night might be a movie, so only two nights of magic tricks and illusions!

I was told it would be back after May 22, they are redoing the entire show, sets came off the ship last month

That's what I had initially heard too but have not received any confirmation. Would love to see it in Alaska

I thought I read they were practicing the new show on the Panama Canal cruise and it would premiere on the 5 night California repositioning cruise May 18.

When was it taken off the ship? We saw it in Alaska in late August last year.

On the wb Panama Canal, the new show cast was aboard and rehearsing A LOT. I spoke with a contractor who was aboard working on installation of some of the technology that will be used in the new shows, Golden Mickeys the only one they mentioned. According to them, the new shows will be loaded with special fx and projections, like the newer parks shows. They were going to be aboard until the first Alaska cruise, but no indication when the new shows start. Just glad Golden Mickeys was reimagined and will be back. Toy Story was performed, meh, weakest show, imo. The outgoing cast did a cabaret that they developed which was enjoyable, and the only other DCL show done was DREAMS. That left 10 nights of contract entertainment and 1 movie night.

10 nights of magic, illusions and juggling? The cabaret sounds interesting.

4 nights was singers. One night a lady that did 9 years on lion king in NYC. She was great. Another group which was great forget their names. And another group Liverpool did 2 nights heard they were good if you like the bettles. But that's not my thing so I didn't watch them.

You could always hope for a PremEar movie for one of the nights of entertainment. popcorn::

Right there with you on the beetles.

The only premier that will be happening is three days before we arrive "The BFG" :surfweb: so meh maybe. I haven't heard any hype on it so I'm not thinking it's going to be a big deal.

I LOVE all the shows on the Wonder - Toy Story is awesome - props and the talent are amazing! Dreams is definitely a winner, and I've loved the Golden Mickeys too. We've seen them several times, which I'm glad for; but I hope to see them again!
