I dunno, I don't think you're missing much. With working 2 jobs I don't have much time for tv and found I've been able to survive fine without it. I will record some things and watch them when I can.
Watching it and still getting teary! Random fact - both Bette and Rue were on one of my favorite shows "Mama's Family" right before they were on Golden Girls (Betty was daughter Ellen and Rue was Aunt Fran). They were only one for one season of Mama before Rue was killed off (bonus points for anyone who remembers who they killed off Aunt Fran - hint "it happend at the Bigger Jigger".

I watched the last episode of GG (both parts) tonight. At least Betty and Rue are still kicking it. I love to hear Betty White curse and be racist (in movies). And Rue was lots of fun in Sordid Lives.
Are there any network shows that send a (positive) message anymore? Other than (a) we're all going to die or (b) we're killing the planet? Other than Dora the Explorer (Can you find the blue train? Azul, blue! That's right! Gooooood job!)
I watched alot of the marathon but they showed the same episodes - there are plenty of them but they started repeating in the afternoon. I can watch the show all day though
