Hi everyone. :)

I've not been around for a while as I have birth to our very own Disney princess 5 weeks ago. So haven't really had a chance to think much Disney (or anything!)

But now I must be feeling a bit more like myself as I'm getting itchy to take her to Disney already!

We don't want to spend loads as it will only be a little trip, we're saving for WDW, so sadly probably can't afford DLH but we loved SL and would happily stay there again.

Would love to know more info about the GF rooms and read any TRs if people have stayed there. I know they're probably around if I look but it's so rare I get the time to get on here now. X

we have a DIS'er not long back from the Golden Forest rooms -

and I believe there are some recent reviews on tripadvisor about the golden forest rooms too.

Congratulations on the birth of your little Princess!

I noticed one of the tripadviser reviews was by tigger as well :P

Personally I'm still willing to give it a go, I'm looking forward to trying it out.. and it seems to be the only way to get lakeside rooms now :confused3

Urgh dear.

Thanks for that. Maybe we'll keep saving for Florida instead!

I'm not quite sure what I've done to deserve this (the emoticon) other than to provide a report and opinion on my recent experience, including the first selection of photographs to show the whole of the Golden Forest Lounge.

People were looking for information on the new Golden Forest option at Disney's Sequoia Lodge. But it seems that some people only want to hear the positives, not the negatives.

I hope that everyone else's experience is better than mine, that they get all the benefits they have paid for. But perhaps it is worth bearing in mind that if no-one ever complains, things won't be changed. So there's always a chance that other people will benefit from myself and others having raised our concerns.

Congratulations on the arrival of your little princess. princess:

My experience of the GF wasn't good but I am hoping the breakfast issue will be addressed, and I am aware that other people's opinion of the lounge is different to mine.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask either here or by PM. I will do my best to answer them objectively.

Thanks Tigger. :) I really appreciate your honest review.

I wasn't expecting the Royal Palm Club treatment but would've like to have heard that the GF was a bit more exclusive. So I will certainly wait for some more reviews in future in case they work out the kinks. But to hear about the size and location of the GF 'lounge' makes it seem a bit pointless. :(
