What an awesome trip! Stayed at the BC for 11 days on the Gold Plan! Golfed Lake Buena Vista course, Wakeboarded 2X, Tubed 2X, Parasailed 2X, rented Watermice at Contemporary, Yacht Club and DTD 2X each.

Here's where we ate: (Way too much food-but enjoyed every minute!) Breaky: Chef Mickey, Goofy's Beach Club 3X, O'Hana, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Donald's in AK and Spoodles.

Lunch: ESPN, Fultons, Coral Reef, Cindy's RT, Wolfgang Puck's, Teppanyaki,50's Prime Time Rainforest Cafe AK.

Dinner:Flying Fish, Brown Derby (Fantasmic Pkg), Yachtsman 2x, Boma, Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill (rehitching), California Grill, Le Cellier, Cape May Cafe (clambake).

I'll get out my calculator and let you know the outcome!! Meantime, any questions?

Can I live vicariously through you????? WOW = you packed a bunch into 11 days!!

My main question (since we only have 7 nights) is if you had to cut those restaurants in half which would be your 3 top for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and why???

Thanks for your help- we're going in September and have picked some off your list just trying to figure out which we can hit this time.

Oh, and what is "rehitching"??

Tara

I'd like to know which were the best of the best for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also where would you not want to return to, if any.

Best breakfasts (our breakfasts except Spoodles were Character Breakfast buffets types) - Beach Club (Goofy's), 1900 Park Fare, Spoodles (order off menu a la carte) and Chef Mickey's.

Lunch-Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (awesome Pizza), Fulton's, Coral Reef, 50's Prime Time.

Dinner-Brown Derby (DH fav-steak and lobster), California Grill (my fav-also saw FITS that night), Yachtsman, Le Cellier.

We probably wouldn't go back to Garden Grill (re-hitching was fun-mock re-marriage ceremony, you get a cake, marriage (rehitching certificate) etc. food was only so-so and service was awful.

At 50's PT three of us had the fried chicken dinner (very good, all three of us enjoyed them)- came with mashed potato and green beans for which DS (15) got a major talking to about - he substituted mashed for fries and ordered no green beans ("Can't have dessert until you finish your veggies" etc and on and on). The servers were a real hoot. Everytime some new family entered the section the servers introduced you to your cousins from FL or NJ or Europe or Canada. No elbows on the table, no throwing food in mom's kitchen-you were constantly reminded. DH had a cheeseburger and fries (just so-so) and chocolate shake (awesome and so thick it almost made his face cave in lol). Both DD and DS ordered s'mores for dessert-they should have shared just one order-they were huge and very rich and gooey. Both loved them.

We'll be at the BCV in December, so I'd love to hear all about Goofy's Beach Club and the clambake -- especially the breakfast. You don't hear a lot about it for some reason.

Goofy's Breaky was wonderful-full buffet with scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, waffles, potatoes, Krispy Cremes, bacon, sausage and all the OJ and coffee you can handle. They are quick and efficient once you are seated and I recommend you have a PS even if you are staying there. The wait for non-PS people was up to 1/2 hour each of the three times we were there this time (usually between 8 and 9 am)-We had PS each time and were seated within 5 mins.

Same for the clambake-major buffet. All the shrimp, clams, seafood items you can handle as well as an excellent selection of chicken, prime rib, ribs, salads etc and the most awesome dessert buffet you have seen (try the chocolate oreo mousse cake-it's great). Same PS recommendation as above-non-PS were waiting 45 mins at 7:30pm. We were seated in 5 mins.

Hey, thanks for the tip about the PSs!! I figured they'd be necessary for the clambake, but I wasn't sure about breakfast. The food sounds yummy!

Thanks Mom_Rules! I'm sure someone in our family will be having fried chicken, and the milkshakes sound like a "must have"!:D

Thanks for the fab reviews. I've gained 6 pounds reading them.

We thought we would kill our scale when we got back but with all the activity (walking, Golf and sports) as well as a very well equipped fitness centre at the BC, all but one came back exactly the same as we left (pretty good considering we ate ourselves silly!) DH gained 3 pounds. He swears is was because of all the bread products he consumed. We received huge bread basket varieties with almost every meal. Biscuits and sour dough buns were excellent.

Gold plan is an (almost) all inclusive plan including unlimited recreation, tours and food- 3 meals per day at over 125 restaurants in WDW.

Is this how people are getting all the meal vouchers I see for sale on Ebay?
They are going for about $15 a piece, and include tax and tip...
Are these worth bidding on?

I was wondering where they come from, and the gold or silver plan seems like a logical explanation.

No-these are not the same. The gold and silver pkgs are through WDW as an addition to their Basic DreamMaker pkg plans.
