Hi all,

I'm trying online to buy annual passes (Gold), via my DVC membership. At the checkout page it requires you to select the applicable guests and confirm/update contact information including each guest's home address. The "State" box is auto-populated with "Florida" and can not be changed. I do not live in Florida (unfortunately).

1. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any easy fixes? I just missed the cutoff time for calling member services today.

2. Am I right in my understanding that only those within my household can benefit from the AP discount (i.e. not my parents living at another address, who are accompanying us on the next trip)? Just want to be sure I'm not tossing money down the drain by failing to realize something.

I called to get mine, haven't tried online. You will get a number, and have to go to guest service to show your DVC member ID and photo ID to finish the purchase. If you have your MDE account set up, the pass will show up so you can make fast pass selection. And you are correct, family not living at your address can not get a DVC AP.
 
I also tried to buy my pass online and ran into the same issue with the state box defaulting to Florida. I called to buy my passes instead. Notified MS of the issue and they said they were aware, but that was several weeks ago and clearly it hasn't been fixed.

A few years ago, my parents bought me an AP at DVC prices even though I didn't live with them (I was not a DVC member at the time). I think it worked because my ID still reflected my parent's address. I wouldn't risk it if the ID a shows a different address.
 

I had the same issue with FL being the only state choice. I ended up calling.
