The Gold Pass is not useable at Disneyland for park entry or any discounts. There exists (or did before Covid) an annual pass called the Disney Premier Pass, which cost a fortune (about $2,200 in 2020 before covid), and provides for park entry and discounts at both Disneyland and WDW.
Note, that the blue DVC member card is good for some restaurant and merchandise discounts at Disneyland but I believe, unlike the DVC 20% merchandise discount in WDW, it is only 10% in Disneyland.
I was about to say that we got discounts at DLR until I remembered they were blue card DVC discounts, not Gold AP discounts. The merchandise discount isn't as large as at WDW, but DVC members get discounts at a wider range of merchandise and food locations e.g. counter service at DLR. If you have a Gold AP, you probably have a blue DVC card, so ask about a discount whenever you buy something or eat something at DLR! Hopefully it will reopen for you....
