Is it worth it? We were thinking of going silver, but seeing that we get the 'la nouba' tickets, parasailing, and 3 meals daily if we go gold I was thinking we would do better than trying to split meals while being stingy with the wishes. With Gold we could eat at '2 wish' venues any time and not feel like we're wasting our wishes. (I'm trying to rationalize this to myself)
Would we be kicking ourselves for getting or not getting the gold?
Any info and experiences would really helpful thanks in advance!!
ps~ not that it matters but its gonig to be our wedding/honeymoon when we're there

We (myself, DH, DS7,DS11) used the Silver Plan in July for 7 nights. I found that we had plenty of wishes. We ate dinner at two 2 wish restaurants and the rest 1 wish - including Hoop Dee Doo show. Also did one character breakfast. We rented a plontoon boat and 2 water mice using the wishes also (total 3 wishes for boats). We also had enough wishes left for some of the merchandise that is offered. Breakfast was usually just a cereal bar that I brough with us. Lunch was something quick and not worth using a wish for.

I think if you were to use the Gold Plan, you would spend most of your day eating because you wouldn't want to waste any of your wishes. I couldn't imagine eating 3 sit down meals per day. JMO

Well, we used to do the gold plan and loved it. But for our family, having three sitdown meals was wonderful. We found lunch and dinner to be a wonderful respite from the parks and as my DH has always traveled during the week, eating altogether in a relaxed manner was a great treat for our family. We also never felt we needed to be members of the clean plate club.

I should also add that my guys always golfed, too. We also did boats, etc..

THe gold plan is expensive though and unless you're willing to take time out for nice meals AND take advantage of the recreational activities, it might be hard to get your money's worth.

We used the Silver Plan for our wedding/honeymoon last Feb and loved it. We are leaving in 6 days:Pinkbounc :bounce: on the Gold Plan for an early 1st anniversary trip. We'll let you know when we return:D

We chose to go Gold instead of Silver because we did fine on the Silver and didn't feel too stuffed - the meals were our break from the parks, plus we're very active and *want* to run around to make it worth our $. We've never seen Cirque, never been parasailing, never been on any of the tours, never rented any of the water mice, etc so after much rationalization of those factors as well as wanting to try all of the 2 wish restaurants I *finally* worked the numbers so that we'd actually save $. I'll let you know if we actually do;)

Oooh, have fun. I actually really miss doing that plan. We always did come out ahead but now we go more than once/year and buy APs so it doesn't make sense for us these days. Will look forward to hearing about your experience.:D
