Gold Mobility's Go-Go scooter experience.

Battery life isn't just based on hours and weight. The hills in AK.are tough on batteries. Same issue going from EPCOT area resorts to EPCOT and DHS

Wow, thanks for the information every one! I have rented from Gold 4 times and only the Victory 10-3 wheel because of the ease to ride. I had been thinking about the GoGo but had heard the battery life is very short....the reason I wanted to use one is due to being able to pack it into the van with ease. The Victory 10 is DARN heavy! My poor hubby was totally worn out by the end of the day from taking it apart and reassembling it SO we have decided to rely on bus transportation this trip....not in a hurry....just gonna get on when I can. Thank you all for answering my unspoken questions:rolleyes1

The hills at Sea World I noticed drains the battery faster also. Faster than any of the other parks.

As is the very uneven surfaces, that takes its toll on the batteries. The older the motor is, the more power it will consume as well. There are indeed a lot of factors, many outside our control. One reason I mention weight is we can control how much we put in the basket, on the back of the seat, etc. And that can help in getting longer life out of a charge.

It is possible to put the front wheel of a victory 10.2 on the back bumper, then lift the scooter in from the back (make sure it is in neutral first), then take it out neutral once in and reverse the process taking it out. But it is easy to scratch the van this way, so I recommend the extra insurance if you do this. Bus transportation will be easier on him and if you stay at an EPCOT resort, you can roll to Studios and EPCOT, reducing the dependency on Disney transportation.

Next time, ask for another person, really should have been replaced, but do keep in mind that they are having a hard time getting the extended batteries for the GoGo sport at the moment (hopefully that changes soon, but who knows) and the regular batteries really aren't good for more than 4 or 5 hours, so you may have been hitting that issue.
Definitely ask to speak to another person. Husband and I both rented the Victory from Gold. 1 of them just would go from all green to 2 red in less than 2 hours. Called and they convinced me that I didn't charge the battery correctly. Ok. Next day in Epcot, same thing. They delivered a new one in 25 minutes. No issues after that!
Oh except the person on the phone said, just push the scooter to the entrance if it dies. We were in Italy. I kindly told him if I could do that I wouldn't need a scooter! He apologized and I had to laugh it off.
