We will be in WDW in 2 weeks and I need a scooter to accommodate my bad knee (hopefully next trip it will be replaced and I wont have to rent anything)
The past couple of years we've used Gold Mobility and just loved them
But every time we get to the resort its too late to have them drop off the scooter so I have to wait until the next morning.
The problem is its REALLY hard to walk and if we get a far away room
(we're at ASMusic this time and a preferred room wasn't available for the discount) Im going to be a mess by the time I have to walk all that way.
I see that Scooterbug will deliver to the bell desk. We should be to the resort by 7PM.
Im wondering what everyones experiences are with them. Ive seen some good reviews but also some bad ones.
Also, would the resort have a wheelchair that can be borrowed just to get my gimpy self to the room?

If you asked earlier I would have suggested staying at Swan, Dolphin or any of the DS hotels (at least for the 1st night). Arriving earlier.

In your case I'd give Scooterbug a shot. They wouldn't be in business if the bad experiences reported ON DIS were typical.

You can try some of the other companies.

Doesn’t sound like you have a choice. You could always do a short rental with ScooterBug and then get your Gold Mobility one. The chairs are different so watch a video or something, my user prefers the Gold Mobility chairs.

As for does ScooterBug suck? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. My user had a couple fine rentals and then a really bad one and swore them off (he didn’t realize the physical differences of the chairs between the companies until he got the Gold one). You’ll have to take your chances and hope for the best, you can’t be ruining your knee on the first day.

We have been happy with Scooterbug, and so, if I were you, I would give them a try.

The resorts do have wheelchairs for getting around the resort.
Buena Vista scooters deliver around 6:30 to ASMusic. They might delay it to 7.

There should be a wheelchair at the resort that can be used if needed temporarily — however a CM will push it and does not leave the chair with the guest. So it may require waiting for a CM to be available.

I used Scooterbug at POR last year, and it was ok. Charging cord was missing when it was delivered, but I was able to talk to a person and work it out with the help of bell services. I would rent from them again to keep drop off and pick up simple.
