So, we reserved a specific
scooter for my aunt over a month ago and gave our arrival time with Gold Mobility. We got a message today that they will not be delivering it when we arrive at 630 pm on Saturday as they stop delivering at 530. Ok, not a deal breaker, but I feel like that should have been explained when we reserved. They will deliver at 730 on Sunday Which means no rope drop for us which is really annoying. Secondly they are completely sold out of scooters and they cannot guarantee we will get the model we reserved. I spoke to them in person when we reserved because my aunt has some severe problems with her one leg and it will not bend and she needs a specific bed/foot platform. We decided over the phone which would be best for her and reserved that one. If they do not deliver the scooter we reserved I am going to be very upset.
Not sure what i hope to gain by posting, but so far I am not impressed. I am hoping that they are going to honor the one we reserved and I will be calling first thing tomorrow to be sure.
Anyone have any idea on who we could use at this late date as a back up? Getting one at the park is simply not an option. A walk I could make in 5 minutes will take her at least 25 minutes. My aunt walking from the room to the bus stop will easily take over 30 minutes with her walker and she would be exhausted before we even got on the bus. Besides the fact she couldn’t stand more then 5 minutes to wait and her travel walker doesn’t have a seat.
I am very stressed about this.
