Gold Mobility Scooter reviews

Should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to express them, when they drop off the scooter. The chair can turn to sit at a table, can swirl a little to the side and chair actually pulls forward for exiting on side. I find this helpful for exi thing scooter and needing my walker immediately

Thank you. My mom gets around well and does not use a scooter at home. However, the amount of walking we do at Disney wears her down and impacts her enjoyment of the trip. I suggested a scooter and she seems to like the idea. I just want her to have as much freedom and fun as possible. Our last trip, I sensed that she felt like a burden and that she was holding us back. I’m hoping a scooter will eliminate that.

You are welcome, they are definitely flexible, they meet on your schedule, not theirs and they do not limit their speed.
Just got back from Coronado Springs and you were right, Gold Mobility is pretty awesome. They came on time Sunday when we arrived and texted before just to confirm. Scooter had a drink holder and cell phone mount which was an added bonus. No issues with the scooter, great at holding a charge all day. The best part was we had to leave the resort at 3:45 AM this morning for our early flight so we couldn't meet up but he just had me leave it outside my door and they would pick up a 7AM. Thanks again.

Has anyone who stayed at Universals Portofino Bay rented a scooter from Gold Mobility? We are staying there in June, and they stated that the scooter would be waiting at the hotels Bell Service Station.
Anyone else have their scooter dropped off at the hotel without having to be there in person?

Precovid the scooter was left with the valet. Currently there isn't any valet parking. Scooters are left with bell services. I've used them twice at PBH, its as easy as it sounds.

Thanks Lewisc! That is great to hear :)

I've rented from Gold a handful of times. I'll agree with the other posters. Great value and service.

First time I rented the delivery person made a point in telling us the optional rear basket makes the scooter oversized. You have to take it off for some buses and boats. Its an issue for some elevators. Its easy to take off, has handles. Not a big deal if the person with the ecv has a capable companion.

I think the above mentioned rear basket problem applies just to the Pride Victory, their most popular model. For the minority of us, who rent the Go-Go sport model, it's OK. I've gotten the rear basket every time, and never had a problem. But lots of people with the Victory do have problems.

I prefer the three wheel, they turn tighter corners and if you need to out them ina vehicle are a bit lighter.
Thank-you for the suggestion we rented three 3 wheel wheel scooters, and one maxima from Gold Mobility Scooters and a had a wonderful seamless experience. The three wheels were much easier to drive.

Thanks for the review. I actually just cancelled the Scooterbug rental because of your remarks which I never do. Gold is very flexible with their delivery and pickup times. The issue I have with Scooterbug is they have a speed limiter set at 2.4 MPH which is pretty slow. I found this out when one of their phone reps told me about the speed limiter after I complained about the reduced speed when I rented from them last February. Evidently they are required by contract with Disney to have a low speed. Also they have a discount I found if you type YELP in their coupon code box that still works.. Thanks again!
I used this coupon code to! It still works

I am looking to rent from GMS in September, I like to know if you recommend the sunshade or not? We will be in the parks for 7 days.

Personally, I don't recommend a sunshade. The sunshade blocks your view behind you. Also, from what I hear, it really only works to block the sun in a certain direction. I don't like the sun (partially because of DH's battle with skin cancer), but I find it not too difficult to just find shady places to park.
Interestingly, I was watching a youtube video last night on how to park your scooter on a bus. She had a sunshade, and didn't do the greatest parking job (my apologizes if it's someone from here!). I kept thinking how she might have done much better without the sunshade blocking her backing up view.
