Going without kids?

Just to check ... Pirates Lair island is what used to be Tom Sawyers island, right?

Actually, can I just make one correction? From what I've seen at DL, it's actually called Pirate's Lair at Tom Sawyer's Island. So I guess the island is still called Tom Sawyer's Island, at least for now. I'm not trying to be a stinker with minor details but I just like the name and idea of Tom Sawyer's Island better than the name Pirate's Lair so that's what i'm sticking to. :goodvibes The Pirate's Lair stuff is fun and I think they did a good job with making it fit with the island but I'm still calling it TSI!

Thanks for the clarification. I just noticed that when I was looking around the park's website. TSI is what I'll always know it as, lol, seeing as that's what it's always been as far back as I can remember visiting.

Yeah Belle! I love traveling Disney without kids! You can keep whatever pace you want, eat junk food without worrying about meltdowns, etc.

Remember once inside the gates - you are a kid again! I also like to be sure to wear my crazy Disney gear - it gets the CMs attention - they tend to focus on the kids. My favorite is our glow wands from the dollar store, we take them every trip. Also, my Stitch stuffed backpack :) One CM reminded me that dogs were not allowed on the rides. :rotfl2:

HA! I love, love, love glowsticks. I keep an eye out for them when we carry them in our $-spot at work (Target, oh the joy) but I may have to hit up the cheap dollar station and stock up on a few. Hadn't even thought of that.

Okay, sorry, this is SO off topic but that just reminded me that last weekend we saw 2 guide dogs (in training) riding on IASW! It was funny seeing dogs riding on the boats! They looked happy.

LOL....AKA PLOTSI!

Um, could I have used more acronyms in that?

And it requires that you say "on" instead of "at"...so I guess yours is PLATSI. :)

While wandering the caves, remember, some bits are interactive. So...reach for things. Unless you have a heart condition. Then keep hands at sides. My January solo trip report has links to pictures, though I think those pix are now very small b/c shutterfly does that.

:rotfl2: Good acronyms! Actually, I couldn't remember if it was "on" or "at".

3 Words: Single Rider Line

Not every attraction has a single rider line, but if you're not going to do the thrill rides, your friend will save a lot of time with single rider. And in rides where you will both go, it can save you a ton of time if you don't mind possibly(but not necessarily) being separated for the ride. I've used single rider many times with friends or family. Sometimes we end up together and sometimes we're separated, but it really helps reduce wait time.
