going tomorrow and just noticed....

we are off early tomorrow to bham airport and just noticed on my itenary print out from air france that i have one of my sons name round the wrong way i.e the first name first instead of the second name first, had a heart attack moment i have checked this itenary at least 5 times before hand and only noticed this today!!!!!
phoned them up , they hardly speak english the first man said it would be okay but i was still worried so phoned them again and a bit more english speaking man said it DID matter and we needed to change it around at a cost of £30 , i'm just waiting for the confirmation email with the amenmant on it , i wish it would hurry up as i'm still paninking .

from a very stressed mother of 2 kids who are not the least bit excited or bothed and will not help get ready for the trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sorry for the rant had to tell someone about it)

I don't think you should worry that much. Whenever you have a problem tomorrow, just tell them about your first phone call, the one with the person saying it was OK. Maybe you should try to arrive at the airport early, so you can have the time to solve the problem. :goodvibes

Try to stay calm and think positive - nobody wants to ruin your holiday and I'm sure they'll be doing their utmost to sort out the problem, if you're still worried keep phoning until you get the amendment.
Do you have your airline tickets ?
The only problem I can think of is if the name's printed incorrectly on the ticket, but you have all day today to get it sorted, so don't worry.
Thank goodness for email and fax machines.

and believe me your boys will love DLRP, my 2 are the same until we get there, and they know what to expect. :confused3

thanks for the words of encouragement,
no we do not have tickets as they are e tickets from air france, phoned them 3 more times as still no confirmation email and when i put booking ref online ther is now only 3 people listed as travelling instead of the 4, so phoned them again and they said it is under a new ref for the change but the amendmant has not been verified yet they said they would phone me back ...

still not heard anything this has been more than 3 hrs since i phoned so phoned again and spoke to a lovely lady who went off to see what had happened, and she said they could not change name over as to do that would mean a new ticket would have to be made and there are no tickets left, but luckily she said as it is only for france she phoned bham airport and told them the porblem and they agreed to accept kyle's name being round the wrong way , she gave me a ref no if i have probs but she said it should be fine they have made a note of it for tomorrow,

i have never been soo nervous i knew something would go wrong !!!, lets hope all is as she says and will be fine i don't think i'm going to sleep tonight though with all this worry

I'd give them a ring tomorrow. At least they will have 9 days to get it sorted, if it needs to be changed.

Ok, get this, my mum phoned them up this morning about it and even they in wherever they were agreed that it was spelt wrong. Then they say that its going to cost another £30 because airfrance have to change the ticket, which won't even be sent to me because theres only 9 days left (i'm sure thats enough time to print and send a ticket) so I have wait until I get an email so I have to print it off. Also, my email address includes my name so I hope to god they actually know how to spell the name charlotte. :mad:

Ok, rant over.

At least my mum is definate that she and I will write to complain to disney to get the money back as it was no fault of our own but theirs on the other side. She was obviously not in a working mood when she decided to start talking about pirates of the caribbean with me and my mum?
