Going to WWoHP...have never been to US/IOA

Happy to hear it is a slower time of year

Also, have been reading about the extra cost of Front of the Line add-on to tickets, would that be worth it ??

Express Plus passes should be purchased at the parks instead of ahead of time. Simply put...they are non-refundable and date specific so if your plans change, you are out the money.

I really don't think you would need them but if you get there and decide the lines are too long, you may purchase the EPs at either park.

I didn't realize that

All the ticket options on the US web-site totally confuse me....

This is really good to know:dogdance:

Keep in mind there are many things to do at the Universal resort besides Harry Potter. The Jurassic Park area, Suess Landing and all the areas are all amazingly themed and just as awesome. So don't think of it as just going to see the Harry Potter world, that would be kind of like thinking you are going to DIsney just to do Pirates of the Caribbean, there are tons of amazing islands, attractions and rides to do. You can think of it a lot like Disney in the sense that it is a "theme" park, it is not just a roller coaster park with harry potter thrown in.

I would also advise you to search for the thread on this board that is titled "Universal / Islands of Adventure Pictures of the Day" or something like that. Many posters have posted tons of great pictures on that thread that will give you an idea of the amazing level of detail the Universal parks have to offer.

We have 2 days to spend at US so we want to see as much as we can....
We've always wanted to visit there...

I'll have to keep researching so I can totally understand what to expect

Is it better to book both hotel & tix as a package?
OR
reserve/get each separately?

Any advice on that ?

I don't stay onsite since I live here but I think most people who've done it would say it's cheaper to do the tickets and hotel separately.

That is so true Ides!
We braved the cold and rode two water rides (JP River and Rip Saw) but after getting soaked on RS we chickened out on Bilge Rat Barge. The Hulk, Spiderman. Even the theming in some of the areas took me back to what Walt Disney originally planned for Disneyland. In fact that was something he asked about when we met him.
