The family (DH, myself, DS8 & DS4) are off for our first big trip this feb to WL. Since it's our first trip down with the boys we thought we would tack on two days at the end of WDW to wind down before heading back (we're driving so we can debate this until we get there) Any suggestions? I'm looking at the Vero Beach area (possibly stay at the disney hotel) since it's not too much further out of our route but I'm really not sure. We'd like to spend some time on the ocean - relaxing at the beach - no sightseeing.

We did the same thing. After WDW went to Cocoa Beach for 4 days of relaxation. It was wonderful. Of course Disney was great. We stayed at a Holiday Inn - can't recall right off hand the exact name - but it was just ok.
While we were there we did drive around a little bit and seen alot of nicer hotels. Also from where we stayed you could see the ships coming and going from the port. We basically spent our time on the beach. Have a wonderful time whatever you do!!

Looks like we'll stay at the Doubletree in Cocoa Beach - the area looks nice, we're right on the ocean and we'll get a good rate with CAA. They also have a restaurant so we don't need to leave to eat if we don't want to. We've stayed at the Doubletree in Niagara Falls and were very impressed with the hotel and the staff - reasonable rates too.
