Going to WDW without your children..... opinions please!

SO and I are taking DD this december, then he and she will race the WDW inline marathon next spring. After that, he and I are going on solo trip. She is 14, wonderful, beautiful, fabulous.. but we need some time away for just the two of us. I have NO guilt about going without her. :thumbsup2

DH and I just celebrated out 15th wedding anniversary this past January at WDW without the kids and we had a wonderful time!! We were there for 5 days and found that to be a perfect amount of time away. Our children are 5 and 14. Of course, we brought them home some special gifts! :thumbsup2

DH and I are looking forward to our trip to WDW without the kids in August.
I agree, the key is whether you think you can enjoy yourself without them.

I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I guess if it were the one and only time your family were going, it would seem a little weird to go without kids. But WDW is a fun place for adults too, and parents deserve some magical grownup time.

We're going this fall without the kids, but feel fine about it! We've been twice in the past year with the kids, and they are cool with knowing that we're planning to do the stuff they consider "boring." (World Showcase, F&W Fest, take our time on Main Street, etc.)

Have a great time!
