Going to watch 007 ?

My mom is a movie goer and is staying with us this week so we offered a movie and since she also is the occasional gambler, she chose Casino Royal. I was a bit sceptical with the movies being so violent lately, and her being 78. It was a really good movie. The biginning is a really wild part but it calms down and actually has a storyline. Bond, James Bond --- Was Hott!! My mom asked why they picked a guy that wasn't that good looking( at the beginning of the show) By the end, she thought he was hot too. What a butt!! and those eyes!!! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 popcorn::

The poster of Daniel Craig as James Bond hangs right here in my computer room!! I fell in love with him at first glance and I just ADORED Connery and Bronson!! I went to a thing at our local library about James Bond and it was explained why Craig was picked and it made perfect sense...along with the fact that Pierce was getting greedy with the money. Just what the presenter said doing the show, not my fact. DH and I are going Thanksgiving Day...I won free passes at the presentation I went to by answering a Bond question correctly!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

He is a PERFECT Bond. I hope he makes lots of 007 movies. He really is easy on the eyes and plays it soooo well.
I LOVED LOVED the movie. I have seen all the older Bond movies and am not the biggest fan (Father and DH are). But this film had me. He is a great actor.

To ChrisFL about the Astin Martin. Not to spoil anything but he does not have it at the beginning of the movie. You learn how he gets it.

Saw it last night with DH - I enjoyed it, DH thought it was a bit too long. I loved Sean Connery as Bond, and grew up with Roger Moore - but I never cared for Bronson, so it's been a long dry spell for me... no longer~Daniel Craig  !!

Actually, there was a previous Casino Royale movie, made in 1967. But it is a spy-spoof movie. Starring Peter Sellers, David Niven, Woody Allen and alot more stars.

I would love to go see it... but I need a babysitter! ;)

If you haven't done so already, PLEASE find out more before you take your 11 year old. I've heard that the level of violence should have given this an R rating. Is your 11 year old comfortable with torture? (I know I'M not!)

The "torture" scene....I have seen sooooo much worse in movies. For us it wasn't that noteworthy. The only comment our son made, after the 3rd hit, was "that had to hurt".

Go see the movie; it's a good one!

Daniel Craig is one HOT James Bond!! My whole family loved the movie and can't wait to see more Bond movies with him in the lead role.
