Just booked a room at the Vero Beach Resort. I booked an ocean view inn room...fpr those of you who have stayed in these rooms, is the ocean view good? Also, do they have the refillable mugs? And, what is the best way to get there from wdw? Thanks..also, any special activities at the resort you can recommend? Im just staying one night. Also, will i be able to get cell phone service?

You are going to have a wonderful time! We love that resort.
You are close to the ocean so yes the view is good.
I don't know if they have refillable mugs but I don't think they do.
They have a lot of family activities (almost like a Disney cruise). We did eat at their 'nice' restaurant and I remember it was very good.
We enjoyed the miniature golf and renting bikes.
The first time we were there the sea turtles were laying eggs so that was neat to see how the resort protects the nests.
I can't remember what route we took. We are from CA so it was all very foreign to us (toll roads and the such) But it was also pretty painless.

Have fun! I would love to go back for a third visit!

Love the ocean view in rooms. I've spent many hours on the balcony just enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. Enjoy!

They do have refillable mugs, I used one for coffee in the AM.

From Walt Disney World Resort (Via I-95 South)

Take 192 East to I-95 South.
Follow I-95 South to 512 East - exit 156 Sebastian/Fellsmere.
Turn left/east on 512 to US 1 (6.5 miles).
Turn right/south on US 1 to 510 (4.5 miles).
Turn left/east on 510 to A-1-A (2.5 miles).
Turn right on A-1-A.
The resort is immediately on the left.

<<Take 192 East to I-95 South>> Isnt that a long way on 192 to I 95?
Yes, it is. And while 192 does clear up once you get far enough east, it is a real PITA with traffic signals and the like going through Kissimmee.

I live in the area and I always take 528 to 95. If you're staying on Disney property, then I'd suggest 417->528->95. It might be a bit longer mileage-wise, but barring a major traffic issue, it is a quicker route with significantly fewer traffic signals.

To me it is faster than taking, I-4 to the Beach Line (Toll Road) to 520 E to I-95 South to US 192/I-95 intersection.
192 is four lane all the way to I-95 and the speen limit is the lowest going through Kissimmee/St. Cloud area at 45, otherwise it is 55 all the way.

528..thats the Beach Line, right? Any idea what the cost of tolls is?

Hmmm, looks like it would be about $4.00 each way if taking the 417 (getting on at International Drive/SR-536) to the Beachline (SR528).

If you took I-4 to the Beachline, it would save you a small amount but the route isn't quite as direct.
