Decided to try making matching shirts for our next trip April 2010 (yep, we will be one of those families! :) ) Plan is to have them done in time for xmas and use them for the big SURPRISE along with a countdown calendar.

I am planning on doing a theme each day (not sure if all in the same color or just coordinating colors)
Example DH - Donald, DS - Mickey, DD - Minnie Me-Daisy

So far I have come up with
Mickey, minnie, donald, daisy (may change and use goofy or pluto)
Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger
Mike W, Sully, Boo, & the Boss Lady (anyone know her name)
Lightning McQueen, Matar, Sally, & ??
Timon, Pumba, Simba, & Nala
Woody, Buzz, Jessie & Bullseye
Of course, lime green mickey ears.
And I liked the matching tie dye shirts that I saw posted in peoples pics
Also found a rainbow looking pictures of the castle and mickey ears (those DISigners are the greatest!!!)

So what other obvious ones am I totally forgetting?

TIA

I'm making shirts as well and can't wait!!! Your list looks great!!!

My DH is outnumbered as he's the only guy in our group. And well, my girls are all about the Princesses!!! You can guess that we've got the princess T's and he'll be wearing a Prince one!:lmao:

Another one we plan on doing is hubby in a T-Shirt with a pic of Grumpy on it....name "Grumpy" on the back...and the three of us girls are wearing a shirt saying "I'm with..." on it with pics of Snow White.

We are celebrating my b-day during our trip so we have b-day shirts on the list as well. Just not 100% sure of what those will be like.

I also love the tie-dye mickey shirt...but I'm wondering hw many we'll see there! :thumbsup2

One of the DISigners had a cut Mickey head with Safari Hats on it. one was Mickey, the other Minnie...we might use those on our Animal Kingdom Day.

Good idea on the prince shirts. DS and DD could be one match while DD and me another.

I saw one DISign that had all the princesses, nala, and some other female characters that said something about equal opportunity princess something or other (not sure of the exact phrase) that I thought would work for everyone.

I have coordinating shirts. Some include pirates, rides from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, AK, DHS, Mickey Mouse Heads, I'm the Grandma, uncle, nephew, niece and many others. I did not include names on any of them so the shirts can be recycled and most don't have a year. I've made over 60 shirts for a 18 day trip (14 at WDW). We leave on the 28th and everything is packed except the cosmetic bag.!:cool1:

for the mickey themed day, silhouettes of all of the characters heads would be a cool idea. mickey is of course easy. but find side views of donald, goofy and minnie or whoever you're doing and just trace the outline and voila!

you should also color coordinate the shirts too. like simba should be gold. pumbaa: dark brown. nala a light pink or a girly beije. timon: light tan.

mike wazowski: lime green. sulley: light blue. roz: gray.

WOW you have been busy. Hope you have a wonderful trip!!

I never do names for safety reasons.
Good idea on the reuse so I will nix the year also.

DH as Mr. Incredible :rotfl: He is 5'3" and weighs 130 fully clothed soaking wet. That would get alot of attention.

May have to put him in the Matar shirt with the saying "she loves me for my body" :lmao:

Boss lady is Rozz. You could also do Mike's girlfriend

Cars- you could use Flo for the other girl

I made "hats" one day for each of my kids. Well, the boys had hats, the girls had a Mickey pillowcase shirt and a Minnie Mouse head (with a bow).

I had plans to do a ton of the screen print ones from the DISigners. I ran out of time, trying to finish things up right before we left (I only had about 40 days from when I booked until we left for WDW).

One of my girls in her pillowcase shirt

And a group shot that shows the youngest one's Minnie Mouse shirt as well as the boys' Goofy & Donald hats.

I also made the shirts they are wearing in my sig picture. They are all the same, and they wore them our first day at the park for my 2nd DS's 7th birthday.
