and I need suggestions on what things I have to check out. I am so excited as I've heard such great things about this store. What do you love???

oh so much,
I would first say the nuts! so reasonably priced and good,
the teas and coffee
hummus
cheeses
frozen chinese food items
and indian also
Joe Joe cookies :)
the pasta sauce
cereals and cereal bars
the yogurt
frozen veggie meatballs
sourdough bread

Burrata! Our TJ's has it on and off, but if they have it, it's delicious mozzarella cheese pouches filled with cream and mozzarella bits. So good!

Their French macarons are fantastic. Chocolate croissants (in the freezer section, not the pre-made ones) are delish. Raspberry tart or tarte tatin are both fantastic and taste like a fancy bakery's.

I go every week!
We get among other things

sourdough bread
fresh tortillas
arrabiatta pasta sauce
frozen macaroni and cheese
frozen rice
frozen turkey meatballs
frozen soy corn dogs
frozen pizzas
fat free vanilla yogurt
nonfat greek yogurt with honey
Italian salads
seasoned microwave brussel sprouts
fresh meat and poultry
andouille turkey sausages
frozen steel cut oatmeal
vanilla granola
bags of popcorn
whole wheat couscous and whole wheat pasta
hummus
loads of fruit and vegetables
frozen cheese enchiladas

ok now I am hungry. Time to eat yesterday's Trader Joe shopping trip.

Have fun!

All of the above, plus
frozen veggies like the pepper medley
and Three Buck Chuck, which is Charles Shaw Cabernet. Not a bad drinking wine, and it's three bucks:)

Are these in the frozen section, or somewhere else? They sound so yummy!!

I am totally addicted to their BBQ Chicken Salad. Sooo yummy!

My kids eat their fruit bars after school almost every day. So many yummy things!!

We have 3 TJ's.... all an hour away from us :rotfl: I make the trek once a month or so and stock up. These are our faves:

*TJ's frozen Mac & cheese
*Most of the frozen veggies and fruits (we make smoothies w/ the frozen fruit)
*Mandarin Orange chicken (frozen)
*frozen chicken breasts
*frozen breaded chicken cutlets
*frozen eggplant parmesan cutlets
*hummus
*Black bean and corn salsa (refrigerated section)
*guacamole
*TJ's Honey O's cereal
*Trail mix
*shredded cheeses
*bottled bruschetta
*bottled spinach/artichoke spread
*dark chocolate covered pretzel thins
*enchilada sauce
*curry simmer sauce

Hoping to go tomorrow or Friday for my Oct. trip!

I need to go to TJ's myself...need to get myself some more Two Buck Chuck, I drink the Charles Shaw White Zin (it's my fave fave) and it's $1.97 a bottle. :) Cannot beat that with anything! :) We finished our last bottle just the other day so I need to get a few more. We also love the chocolate Mochi, it's so good!! The green tea is really strong and I haven't tried the mango yet but I do want to. I like to get my eggs there, cheeses, our TJ's has loads of different types of cheese so I get a few different good kinds while there. I buy frozen bananas there, cereal for the girls, veggies and meat (our TJ's had hamburger for $2.49 a lb so I stocked up a while back). And I love the sponges they have, they are compressed sponges and they are super cheap, basically when you are ready for a new one you put it in water and it "grows". LOL Silly but I love those things, I can buy 1 pack (I think there are 10 or 12 per pack) for a few bucks and they last me for 2 years.....serious staying power for sponges. lol Of course I wash and disinfect them so I can reuse them. :)

We get so many things, but here is my top 3 list

Coconut water
Lavender Soap
blueberry Scones (only once a month, they are so good and sinful at the same time)

We just went on Saturday...love it!

*Frozen Naan
*Orange Chicken
*Organic Sweet corn
*Goat Milk Brie
*Peach Salsa
*Salsa Autentica
*Chicken Cilantro Mini Wontons
*Thai Shrimp Gyoza
*Gyoza sauce
*Thai Peanut Sauce
*Frozen Crossaints
*Cereal Bars
*Dried Mango
*Sweet Chili Sauce
*Thai Red Curry Sauce

Obviously, we are a fan of the many different sauces! There have been very few things we didn't like from there. Have fun!!

Thanks everyone!!! I am so excited and have a list ready. Unfortunately we are going on the way to a college visit, so no cold stuff this time. They are opening a TJ's near me in the next couple of months though, so I will have to wait until then to get the cold/frozen items. I hope this TJ's sells the wine!!

How is the Thai Peanut Sauce? We love Thai food, our favorite sauce is peanut but I haven't been able to duplicate it at home, I would love to find a good peanut sauce.

LOL DD22 and her DFi moved to Idaho, they are 10 hours from me, one of my visits this summer I asked what they wanted from TJ's. DD's answer was CHEESE!!!! Her DFi's answer was Mochi so I packed a cooler with ice, Mochi and cheese and took it to them. :) It made the drive with no problems at all. If I was you I'd take a cooler. LOL

What sort of payment does Trader Joe's take? Credit cards, cash only?

Cash, Credit Cards, Debit Cards.

They recently announced we are getting our own Trader Joe's on December 3rd, just down the street from where I live, can't wait. I have never been, but have heard good things. Thanks for all the suggestions.

They have a nut mix that is addictive. Its dried cranberries, almonds, macadamia nuts and crystalized ginger. Awesome!!

We just went for the first time this summer....REALLY fun. I couldn't believe how cheap everything was even though it was organic!
We got some great types chips and would've loved to buy more, but we were too far from home. I wish they'd build closer...can't wait to shop there more!

The TJs by us take cash, credit cards and checks.

Things we love that (I don't think) haven't been mentioned:
whole wheat couscous
blueberry museli
praline granola
chili lime chicken burgers (frozen)
fettucini alfredo (frozen)
tamales (frozen)
jalapeno crunchy cheese puffs (snack aisle)
potato lentil curls (snack aisle)
Dutchess Grey tea if you like slightly citrus teas

Great prices on staples such as:
olive oil
soy sauce
flavored vinegars
chicken/beef/vegetable stock
beans
rice
etc.!

Perhaps I need to try them again. We made the trek to our nearest store, but didn't see the appeal or find things worth driving the distance for. Items I could do without or find other closer.

Thanks for the new suggestions.
