Going to the schools' fund rasier -- bidding for baskets..how high?

HI DIS friends,


I'm going to my first annual school PTA fund raiser jamboree and it's a silent auction on themed baskets -- about 30 of them. I've seen them and they just stunning and beautiful.

Typically, how high do these baskets on average go for? I saw a Disney basket!! I'm probably going to eyeing on bidding on the chocolate basket and the Little Princess one and maybe some others.

What's the bidding going for?

Last year some of ours went to $30+!

It really depends on the basket....we do this and it ranges from $30 up to over $200!
I won a really awesome scrapbooking "basket" for $50 and I know it was worth way more than that!

We try to have a variety of sizes and prices so that everyone can participate. Some go for as low as $20 but others (last year was big with the Red Sox stuff/Patriot's signed gear) went as high as $700.00! Is it a silent auction or a live auction?
