Going to the Parks after Wedding

I wondered about this myself. I had a 12 noon ceremony and didn't know what to do with the rest of the day. I finally decided that I couldnt act like it was any other day so we took a little nap, hopped in the pool to cool off and had dinner at the "Sweetheart Table" at California Grill (I highly recommend that to everyone).

It worked out really well for us, bc we were really tired, EXTREMELY HOT and it was a nice time to unwind from the day. :goodvibes HTH

i know that Lynn5700 went to a park (thinking MK if i remember correctly from reading her trip report). Maybe she will be on here to give you more details.

Yep. We had an informal luncheon of sorts at Prime Time 50's. I had 2 hours of sleep before getting up at 3:30 to shower and dry my hair for Ana's $am arrival to do my hair and make up for our MK shoot. We had a 10 am ceremony, then pictures around the resort after the wedding. Then everyone went back and changed into "park clothes" and we had a 2:00 lunch at Prime Time followed by a full day in the park. We closed the park down at 1 am and were back to the resort and ready for bed by 2:30. It was a long, but absolutely wonderful day !!!

My fabulous DH let me sleep in the next day while taking some of our guests to another park and came back and got me for lunch.

Yeah magic kingdom has extra magic hours that night if i remember correctly, and i love extra magic hours

We're going to the Magic Kingdom the night of our wedding. I'm going to buy a cute little white dress to wear. DFi will change into jeans and a white button up shirt. So we'll get to end our wedding day in the most magical place on Main Street watching Wishes.

I'm so glad to hear someone had a day like this! We're planning on this as well. I'm getting up at 3:30 to start getting ready for the MK/DHS shoot at 5am, then ceremony at 10am, lunch at Big River Grille at 11:30am, then the parks until dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and we're going to close down MK until 1am! It's our wedding day; make it last as long as it can, right?

We had a noon wedding at SBP. Most of the people left straight from the wedding to go back home, so we did not have a reception. We went back to AKL and changed ate lunch at the Mara, and headed to our favorite park, Magic Kingdom. We had the best time, and ended the night with Wishes :lovestruc. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.

How cool is it to go to a park the day you get married??!?!?

We didn't have much energy after our DP in Epcot, but most of our guests saw Impressions de France and toured the other countries after Illuminations was over since it was EMH that night.

omg, Shelli! Didn't realize how long you were up that day:lmao:

Now that is the way to celebrate your wedding!

does anyone know what time wishes normally is because I would love to see it that night.

depending on the time of year and time of park close it's either 8pm, 9pm, or 10pm. It's at park close a lot, but sometime it's an hour before. It's best to check Disney's website for the time on a certain day. In the summer it's never at 8 because the sun hasn't fully set.

For parties it's always at 9:30pm.

It also depends on whether Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled for that night or not.

We're doing the MVMCP the evening of our wedding day. It has special sentimental value to us, so we HAD to make sure to do that on the anniversary of our first MVMCP together. :lovestruc
