We are going to the WDW HM event. This is our first time going to an event so we're new to the RSP process.

We read Disney's RSP FAQ, but still have a few questions.
Hopefully someone with experience can help.

What percent of items should we expect to get on our first RSP?
Also, is it worthwhile to fill out the 2nd and 3rd RSP?
Is there a chance we will get items from the 2nd and 3rd RSP?

Have a great day!

What percent of items should we expect to get on our first RSP?
It all depends (sorry for the vague answer) on a number of factors.
1. Is it something that appeals to a lot of people.
2. The LE size.
For example up to last year at the pin event, I have tried and never got the LE 10 framed set. They sold out on the 1st RSP (and I had it listed as my #1 item on 2 RSPs.) Last year no one liked it, so they had them for sale after the 4th RSP.

Is it worthwhile to fill out the 2nd and 3rd RSP? Why not, It can't hurt if you want multiples of the same thing.

Is there a chance we will get items from the 2nd and 3rd RSP? Definitely. But see example from question #1.

The computer is currently working on my RSPs for the Sept. Event and the results should be in the mail this weekend.

Thank you for the help.

We not looking for the very low LE (1, 13, etc), we are interested in LE250 and LE500 pins.

We'll give the 2nd and 3rd RSPs a try. If we get lucky, DW can keep busy with trade requests on pinpics.

Have a great day!

I am going to the event and have several things on my want list. top will be the watch due to the edition size. I have to figure the order of the other items, but they are all higher in size, and Bob's HM and MK sign are open (but event services may have an event plate for these pieces if you buy them thru the event). What I planned on putting on my 2nd RSP was one of the prints (again open edition) and possibly the medal. If I get everything I put on my first RSP, I'll be spending about $550 post disc plus tax. Plus the cost of the event and a possible room charge (I could not get off of work Saturday and booked a room in case I work the 5am shift, as I live about 30 miles away; cat would stay at Best Friends). I am excited about the event, as it's been years since they have had a HM event - or any other kind of event that wasn't just dedicated to pins.

Another tip is to go to the event store at the beginning of the event if you don't get something you want. At the DLR 40th I wanted an item that was Limited Edition of 5. Both my DH and I put it on our RSP and didn't get it, but we went to the event store before picking up our merchandise and there was the item we wanted for sale and it was #1 out of the 5.

The lower edition items and the popularity of the item determines it's difficulty to get. With the attendance level supposedly capped at 500 I doubt you will have any problems getting the LE250 item and definitively not the LE500 item.

doombuggy, good luck on your RSPs. Hope to see you there.

DizneyDogs thanks for the tip on visiting the store. We're staying at BLT the night before the event (no openings for the 30th and the 1st), so we'll be able to get there early. Also, it's good to here it's capped at 500. My fear was 999. With many items being LE500 or less, having a cap at 500 really helps.
