Going to see the Boston Pops...

here in CT on Dec. 20th for a Holiday concert. I am so psyched as I had really wanted to hear them, but felt we couldn't afford 4 tickets at Christmastime. Then I got this brainstorm that DH and I could go without the kids (12 and 14) for a special holiday treat to ourselves. Well, the tickets were sold out. Today for the heck of it I checked again and lo and behold was able to get 2 VERY good seats. Haven't told DH yet.....can't wait!

Thanks for all your good wishes. I just now told DH and he, too, was VERY excited--had a big smile on his face for awhile. We are in the process of a major remodeling job that won't be done probably until the Spring. We truly need a night out and being able to go alone is kinda nice, too.

Is Keith Lockhart conducting? I know he doesn't always travel for the holiday shows. Last year he was here in RI but I wasn't able to go. I love watching Pops Go The Fourth.

Yes, he is! I just went to double check as I thought I'd read he was and I was right. This will be my first time seeing them and I've really come to love orchestra music, so I know we will love this!
