Will be leaving in a couple of hours and getting excited. My kids started listening to country way before i did, to me country was:crazy: . My DD suggested I give it a try and now I love country and going to a outdoor concert with DD tonight. We went and saw Montgomery Gentry a couple of weeks ago and he put on a great show, hope tonights will be as much fun. Just had to share. Susan:wave:

I saw him about 7 or 8 years ago and it was a great show. Have fun!

Have a great time. "Letters From Home" gets me all misty.

Micrecell: Besides 'letters from home' I belve he also sang Grundy county auction.

chell: Good to know. I'm sure he'll put on a good show.

grinningghost; I agree about letters from home. This is my favorite song at the moment, unless it's a song by Toby Keith.

Toby Keith could sing the phone book and I'd like it. ::yes::

I love John Michael Montgomery!! Saw him at the rodeo here in Houston. You are going to have a great time!!

HAVE A BLAST! Ahhhhhhhhhh...Country music is much different from what it was years ago. LOLOL! Keith Urban was just here Friday night. Didn't go though. I'm waiting for Sept. when Toby Keith comes along. I saw him in West Palm last year...he was GREAT! :faint:

I SWORE that I would never, ever listen to country music. But, since I discovered it a while back, I wonder why I waited so long. It's definitely NOT my grandfather's country music these days.:teeth:

LOLOL! My Mom was from Texas and loved the old Country music...Mel Tillis, Hank Williams, etc. :scared1: Throw in Herb Albert and the Tiajuana Brass also. What genre of music were they any way? LOL!

Oh, no!! My station is playing Mel Tillis right now! Thank goodness they play that type rarely! LOL! Bring on Toby!!! ;)

LOL here too!

My grandpa used to play all those oldies all the time. He had a thing for Loretta Lynn and Lynn Anderson, but he wasn't afraid to crank the Mel Tillis either!:earseek:

DW is there right now working at one of the ticket windows. If ya happen to go to a ticket window at DTE tonight, and see a woman with a nametag of "Karen" on it, it may be my wife.

Dave

have a great time!! i saw him when he first came out and met him--i was like 7 years old haha....

Toby Keith is coming here sept 11--buying tickets on saturady!!

Ooooh love John Michael. Saw him at a local restaurant in Nashville last year. He was very nice (cute too!).

If you like the new sound of Country check out Shiloh (www.shilohtheband.com) - 2 of the guys are former Mouseketeers!

I saw him in 97 at The Chesapeek Music Festival in Maryland, and he came here to Fort Hood on 22 April for the 4th ID Welcome Home Ceremony, I got my CD autographed! He is such a sweetie!

Well we had a blast. Grabbed ourselves a drink on the way to our seats and sat and people watched until the show started. The opening act was a group from Michigan and they were awesome, the fiddle player kicked butt. We sat in the parking lot at least 40 minutes waiting for the parking lot to clear before we attemted to leave:crazy: . We will be going to DTE to see Heart in August. DD and I are having a really fun summer. Now if Toby would come to Michigan i'd be in heaven. Susan

Heart! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo! I bet they'll be great!! Can't wait for Toby myself!! :faint:
