We're going to see Atlantis tonight in NYC. I won tickets for a special advanced screening through Disney Magazine. I can't wait. I'll be sure to give a report on how it was.

Just got back. WOW! I was really impressed. Although, I seem to disagree with most people when it comes to movies (i.e. Shrek), so everyone else may disagree with my opinion. I thought it was VERY well done. The story was very good and the animation was wonderful. It's a different look then most Disney movies, but I think they acheived the look they wanted for this film quite nicely. The PG rating is appropriate as the violence may be a bit intense for young children and it's a more mature theme. My 7 year old (soon to be 8 in two days) son absolutely loved it and can't wait to go see it again when it comes out on the 15th. I will definitely want to see it again as well. If I could compare it to anything, I would say it has a very Indiana Jones type feel to it, but with it's own twist. I think Disney did a great job. I hope the movie does well.

Pixieduster,

Thanks for the review!! Glad you enjoyed it! The rest of us peons who have to wait for the 15th will just have to keep waiting...

But I'm glad you won the chance to see it early!

I have to agree with Pixieduster. I was really impressed. The animation was fantastic. If you read the latest issue of Disney Magazine, you'll see how thier inspiration for the animation style results in a much different product than in previous films. There was also much better integration of computer-generated images.
I really liked the story and the time period. The humor was good and a little edgy. I can see how some of it would go right over the kids heads. I highly recommend going to see it. It will be different from other Disney animated films, ie: no songs, no cute talking animals, no cute non-talking animals, but enjoyable still.
