Going to resorts for Counter Service

We loved the Contempo Cafe too. The beef flatbread was one of the best things I ate at WDW

I'd suggest the Contempo Cafe @ CR and Captain Cook's @ Poly as other DIS'ers have suggested!! Great stuff!!!

Would very much like to get to POR one night for the pasta option, too. And I have a distinct desire to try that tie-die cheesecake at Pop. Oh, well, next time..............

My cousin works at Epcot, she goes to POR to eat the pasta all the time. She says it is that good, and a great way to use a CS credit for us. I am planning on going there during our next trip. I have stayed at POP before and staying there again this time. The tie dye cheesecake is SOOOO good! I am using one of my snack credits on one! I have heard that everything else is great there, but I didn't try anything else last time we were there. We had 2 ADR's and packed food for the parks for the rest of the trip. I did do one CS in Epcot that trip.

Keep the food pics coming! Love seeing them and taking them when we are at Disney.

Here's some pix from POR food court, can't remember details sorry (although I remember the brownie thing was aMaZiNg) LOL

Those aren't brownies, they're Magic Cookie bars:lovestruc (or as we call them around here Hello Dolly bars or Seven layer bars) and you're right they're delicious. Rich but delicious!:rotfl: (graham cracker crust layered with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, coconut, nuts, and Eagle Brand milk=easy to make, but sooo rich and good).:rotfl::rotfl:

As far as good CS, I agree with everyone else, the best ones are Mara at AKL, Pepper Market at CSR, Cap'n Cook's at Poly, and the ones at Pop and PORS.

We stayed at the CR over the 4th of July weekend, and had one breakfast and one lunch at the Contemp Cafe, and enjoyed both. It was the first try at CS since I got food poisoning from Gasparilla at GF a few years ago. Would definitely recommend Contempo.

My husband and i LOVED the aloha sandwich at Captain Cooks at the Poly and the homemade chips!!!!! YUM!

I've tried and loved and would go back to Port Orleans Riverside and Pop. Pepper Market was really good, but I'm not sure that it warranted the gratuity that they added to the ticket- but maybe it was the service we got. I've tried All Stars but it was crowded with a bunch of teens and everything was sticky and loud (including the TVs). Captain Cooks and Roaring Forks I wouldn't make a side trip for unless I was staying there, but that's a personal preference because I can't eat others' favorites at Captain Cooks.
