Going to Lancaster this week any suggestions?

I live in Lancaster too :)
Definately would recommend Shady Maple for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My kids beg to go there LOL! The outlets are right there, near Dutch Wonderland, got a ton of good deals there just yesterday! The Hands on House is really cute. Kitchen Kettle is nice too.
Have fun!!!

Sight and Sound Theater--the productions are incredible and so is the backstage tour.

shady maple!!!!!!! it's about a 90min ride for us, totally worth the ride for lunch!!!!!!

My family loves the farmer's market...there is always something new sample. Last time we "discovered" the corn salsa--it's a little bit of sweet from the corn and heat from the jalepenos. Now that we live in Alaska, I have it shipped up as a present for my DH.

Raub's subs at the Farmer's Markets are very good "hoagies"!

If you can find a box of opera fudge somewhere, that's a candy not to be passed up! http://www.wertzcandy.com/opera.asp

Be sure to taste some potato fillling (PA dutch version of stuffing) it's fabulous!

We can't leave PA Dutch Country without stopping at Laudermilch's Meat and getting a huge filet cut. This last time we got 24 petite filet mignons for $64, by arranging it with one of the butchers. http://www.laudermilchmeats.com/beta/laudermilch/the_difference.htm Looking at their website, looks like I could have had them shipped, rather than transport them all the way to Florida in a cooler.

If you venture to Kitchen Kettle Village, you might want to try The Kling House Restaurant. We ate there in April for the first time (after visiting Lancaster many, many times before!) and had a wonderful meal. We also enjoy The Bird-in-Hand Restaurant in the village of Bird-in-Hand. Pretty good kids' buffet (or you can order regular items off the menu as well).

Should you venture to the Green Dragon (a really cool place!), you may want to check out a great restaurant called Silk City Diner right on the main road nearby. My MIL lives in Ephrata and we have been going to Silk City on the first night we arrive in town for about ten years straight. Loads on antique shops in the same area as well.

Not sure what direction of travel you will be taking to get the Lancaster area, but we have also enjoyed taking the kids to the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA. It is located not far off the interstate and is a nice break for the kids on our way home sometimes...Enjoy your trip!
