In the past year we've had the awesome chance to visit WDW twice. On our first trip this year, in May, we tried a signature restaurant for the first time (truth be told, I had been here back when I was 11 years old...). We gave Brown Derby a chance when we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary. Ryan was our waiter and probably the best service/personality/charm our entire 9 day trip. So we knew before we left the restaurant we would be back on our trip in October. And sure enough, last Thursday, we dined at Brown Derby again and specifically asked for Ryan, no matter the wait. We arrived at 6:50 for a 7:20 ADR. And were told they were running 30 minutes behind. I said no problem, I just want a booth and to be in Ryan's section. Around 7:35 we sat down and we didn't get back up until 9:45. During our two hour, relaxing, delicious meal, we feasted on appetizers, drinks, entrees, desserts, and a birthday toast.
Service was excellent and he even gave us a complimentary champagne toast for my FIL's birthday. He has a witty but dry sense of humor and really tunes into the personalities at the table. By far, the best server we've had in Disney. We won't be back for awhile
, so keep Ryan company and be sure to request him if he is working that day.
And tell him we sent you, Blake and Julie.
And let me know what you think!
