Thanks for the info! We'll be checking in for our first stay at Disney's Resort on HHI on Sunday, so we'll be able to see the inaugural fireworks of the season. Do you have a great view of the fireworks from the resort, or do you need to go over the bridge to the marina or ampitheatre area? If the low country boil at the beach house is on Tuesday, do you have plenty of time to enjoy the food & festivities there & make it back in time to enjoy some of the festival and fireworks?

During "fireworks season" the resort has Star Spangled Tuesday at the main resort. It's a BBQ and pool games at the pool. (Even if you don't sign up for the BBQ, you can still participate in the games.) The Low Country Boil at the beach house is on a different night. (Thursday, maybe?)

You have a fantastic view of the fireworks from the resort! No need at all to cross the bridge. In fact, there are security guards at the entrance to the resort checking parking passes and/or IDs to make sure that only resort guests are at the resort!

There is a barge anchored in the marsh behind the DVC resort which they use to launch the fireworks - the DVC resort offers the primo view for the pyrotechnics!

Be sure to try to take in a Shannon Tanner concert. He does a wonderful family show and includes the children in the program - he'll be the one with the propeller beanie! (..and a guitar)

We've been to HHI before, just not the Disney resort. It's been about 7 years, though. We loved Shannon Tanner! My DD was 3 the last time we went & she planted herself right beside him when it was time for the kids to sing. She'd learned from the previous year that he chose some to sing solo & she was determined she would sing "Zaccheus". She was the first chosen & it's a precious memory. Can't wait for my son to get to join in the fun at the concert!

I just have to finish ironing & packing now.
