Going to DL--Stuff to get?

I'm going to DL next week , and I want to make sure I know what I should be looking for. I printed out my HSM and Tomorrowland quests. I also printed out the 50th--are they still giving out prizes for that one? I know there was a problem at one point.

Are they still giving out the animator's desk and stool for doing the animation tour?

I know they also have quests at VMK Central, so I'll pick those up. I'm planning on bringing my laptop, so I would be able to enter codes right away, since I'll be gone on 9/30 when they might expire, but just in case, they have computers where you can play VMK inside of Innoventions, right? And VMK Central is moved inside there if it's raining?

Anything else I need to know?

You lucky duck! I wish I could hide in your suitcase! (Not that I'd fit...
and the TSA might have an issue with that.)

The only other thing I want to point out is that you can get the Magic
Mirror cards in the Magic Shop if you buy something. I bought a $3 coin
trick for mine.

I have so much DLR stuff I enjoyed, that I would be blathering on forever

Last Saturday I got all the quests cards including 50th. Also when I went to the candy shop by SPlash mountain and asked for cards for our group. they asked how many and my husband said 8 of us. He gave us 8 cards for 8 people and we got 64 cards. LOL They all expire next week though. I been giving them away to friends everywhere.


Be sure you enter in your codes ASAP because they all say expire Sept 30.
I did get a couple animator desks. I got to learn to draw a very sad looking Donald Duck too,. lol I need the desk for practice I guess. I wanted to learn to draw Tigger but it wasnt for another hour and I had to go.

Yes innoventions has computers but no mouse. Its hard to use those tracker ball things too. The VMK central is moved indoors incase of rain but rain is less rare in California than Florida I think. They kiosks are never crowded there either.

You can get cards for everyone in your party even if they dont play. Just have their ticket with you when you turn it in.
They are still giving out a couple fast passes for completing all the quests too. I read somewhere if you go get a fast pass before you get your VMK ones you can have three at once in your hand. If you get the VMK ones you still have to wait the 2 hour or when the last fast pass time is up.

Tomorrowland Quest* - print and take with you
Fantasyland Quest* - pick up at VMK Central
Adventureland Quest* - pick up at VMK Central
Frontierland Quest* - pick up at VMK Central
HSM Quest - print and take with you
50th Quest - print and take with you
Pirate Quest (and Well) - pick up at VMK Central

*If you turn in all of these - you will get bonus cards and a green, plastic, glow in the dark bracelet.

Fast passes are available to you - not sure what combination of quests = passes. You CAN have them save your fast passes for another day if you do not want to use them that day.

Turn all completed quests in at VMK Central to get cards. You can get quest cards for all tickets in your party - however, some cast members have required that the PERSON be present for each ticket. This seems to vary by CM.

Magic Shoppe - magic mirror
Pooh's Corner Candy Store - red penny press
Astro Blasters - Happiest Celebration on Earth Pin
Star Traders - vmk t-shirt
Any where that sells hats except the Star Traders - gold ears (not available 2 weeks ago, temporarily pulled from the park - might be back by now)

Over at California Adventure:
Animation Building - You can get Animation Desks from the various exhibits. Be ready to sing for the cast members.

Also -
Create a character at VMK Central and get:
- Born in the Park Badge on character
- 5/9 Disneyland Pin
- Green Retro Disneyland Turnstile
- 5 rooms (including retired Tiki room)
- Lots of clothes (if you create a girl character - select the bling bling shirt and / or camera shirt, they are available for "born in park" characters only)
- Black ears

I think that's it. And don't forget to enjoy the park. You're at the REAL DEAL! Yay for you - enjoy the magic!

I was just there on Wednesday and they are still taking the 50th Quest print-outs, but the guy said they'll stop taking them on September 30th. Also, the 50th print-out has all the answers on it now, since a lot of the 50th stuff it asks about has been taken down.
