Going To Disneyland June 23- Pins

First time I'm doing this, but here goes. We are going to Disneyland Calif. June 23 for 5 days. Does any one know if there are any pin events or pin releases planned for that time? Once I'm there what is the best way to find out what's happening with pins from day to day? Thanks, Kareninkbounc

Karen - Why don't we arrange to meet around 3:00. That should give you enough time to get in from the airport. (LAX??) Perhaps some of the locals can suggest a good spot.

Matt - If I knew we'd be meeting so soon I could have saved all that postage. lol. I have been very lucky about Mystery Pins in the past, so hopefully my luck will travel to the west coast with me.

The best way to stay on top of pin releases is bring a laptop and check out DizPins everyday. As far as where the best spots to meet and trade are, I'll get to the parks on the 20th, so when we meet on the 23rd I will be glad to share any tips I've picked up.

Hopefully I will be able to make it. THis is my first time to DL and am planning on spending more time at the parks and les time trading. Also my friend is coming along who doesn't like pin trading. Oh well, she can go to the pool! Anyway, I am very excited that there may be a mini pin meet while I am down there. I've heard from some DL locals that they like to go trading on the weekends, so the 23rd is perfect!
Where could we meet?

Hey Pin Traders,
The most popular place to trade with other guest is at the pin annex on Main Street. It is located between the Disney Showcase and the Mad Hatter shop. There is a little patio area to the side of the shop and that is were most guest congregate to trade. If you are looking to trade with Cast Member you can find some in most of the shops in Disneyland. Some days are better than other for Cast Member lanyards in the park. There is a Pin Workshop scheduled in June. I am not sure of the date I will ask and get it posted here. For some reason I was thinking that it is on the 24th. There really isn’t a pin trading area in DCA at this time. They have just recently put some tables outside of Treasures in Paradise on Paradise Pier, but they really aren’t be used that I have seen.

Great, now I have to carry all those pins and a laptop. Well, that's what I have my son for. I think Disney should set up a hot line. Just a tape that is updated daily with the information we all seek.

I think I will be missing the pin meet on the 23rd. Although I am still arriving at DL on June 20th, I am fairly sure that financial considerations are going to cause me to leave early...probably on the 21st.

Having figured out how much I spent at the May Pin Event (along with Mothers Day/Grad Night/etc) I have been forced to the conclusion that spending four days at DL could seriously jeopardize my ability to go to the August Event. I don't think I could face that!

So, Karen and Matt, it looks like I will miss getting to meet you. I think I will still be able to see Goofster again, and hopefully, meet Barbara and Charles. I am hoping you guys will make it to the park Wednesday evening. Let me know what your schedules look like.

Karen, I think that is right. I will not be there Saturday I am having a new garage door installed. I will be in the park on Sunday, probably at the first pin talk that morning. Everyone should wear something Lime Green.
