Going to Disney World For the First Time Ever this August

Hey all I am finally going to Disney World for the first time ever with my Cousin. We are hoping to go from August 8th - 15th. I am 27 and my Cousin is 18 will be 19 when we go. But as for planning the trip haven't done anything yet not even booked it, waiting to do income tax to book our trip. We are flying down from Toronto Pearson International Airport, and we are planning on staying at the All Star Music Resort. Since we have never been on a trip anywhere before, we would like to know what to expect when it comes to the airplane and on how crowed it is during August 8th - 15th. Also any advice or tips are welcome on trying to make our trip smother.
