We;ve gone to Disney several times before, just never during the holidays. I really wanted to go during the first two weeks, but my daughter's school really frowns on taking kids out of school. We are DVC members and have the points to spend, so why not?

I just booked 12/22 through 12/26, we will depart on Wed 12/27. So we will actually be there for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

I'm terrified because we just did this yesterday and I'm now trying to figure out the Dining Plan and hoping that I can get my dining reservations. I do NOT want a sandwich on Christmas day!

I've been searching the Disney site for the calendar of times at all the parks, special events, etc, but would certainly appreciate any advice or insider info to spending the holidays at Disney!

Disney world at Christmas time is extra-magical. We went this past Christmas and absolutely loved it. We swore we'd never do the holidays with the in-laws again! :lmao: You must see the Candlelight Processional while you're at Epcot. You can get a dinner package if you wish to ensure a spot at the show. Also, try to go around to the deluxe hotels like Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian to see their decorations (huge tree at WL and gingerbread house at GF). You'll have a wonderful trip, I'm sure of it!

We went at Christmas for the first time in 2004 and loved it. It wasn't as crowded as we expected, I think the cool mornings kept alot of folks inside until lunchtime. We went with friends and all of the kids loved the snow on Main Street after the fireworks. We went Spring Break this year and my husband says we will definitely go at Christmas the next time.

Well, I worked on it today and got at least all our dinner reservations done! Whew!

Christmas day should be nice, character breakfast at Ohana and dinner at Teppanyaki, never had Japanese for Christmas day before, so this is a first!

Now exactly how is Santa going to bring presents into the room on Christmas Eve, I wonder? :confused3

We take a day and just resort hop to see the christmas decorations.

Awesome and congrats! I'm going right before that, departing home on the fourth(our first home, not the one in Florida!!! :rotfl: )
I suggest (you probably already know this) you go in the mornings, when it's a bit colder then during the day, because people will be inside, sipping their stupid cocoa while SOME people are actually having FUN!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

Have a great trip, and after, get to work on your trippie!!! I'm positive it'll be a great one!! :Pinkbounc

first, learn not to care about the school frowing, there is a big savings on valuse season as opposed to peak seeason. Next, Christmas time is great, we go down on the 9th of dec. but we return on the 29th and we have a ball in florida
so go and have fun

i'll be there for christmas, it'll be my first time there for the holidays, and my second solo trip, hope to see some of you there,

There is no better time then Christmas to visit WDW. The decorations, and toal atmosphere will just amaze you and your family. We will be at WDW during the week of the 9th and can't wait to experence the magic again. :sunny:

We've gone to WDW the past 2 Christmases. For dining, make sure that you make your PS's at the 90 day mark. I think some nice places for a Christmas dinner are: California Grill, Fulton's, Flying Fish, Artist Point.
Have fun! Be prepared for crowds AND chilly weather!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks all for your posts. I ended up changing my Christmas Day dinner from Teppanyaki to LeCellier. I love Japanese food, and I'm sure it'll be decorated in some way, but I think I needed something a little more "Christmas-y" for that night. I was able to get all the reservations that I wanted and pretty decent times. LeCellier is the latest one at 7:50, but we also have a big character breakfast that day and will enjoy a nice lunch somewhere in Epcot as well.

We'll be there for Christmas also!! We will be at ASMo 12/21 - 12/27, and we will be attending MVMCP on 12/21. I've already made my ADRs, so now all I have left to do is keep reading the boards to get some more magical ideas!!
