Going to Disney with type 1 diabetes

If you do get a GAC and use it, just beware - it does not usually shorten wait time, and at some attractions it can extend your wait time so you should plan accordingly.

The best way to be able to plan (which is really important with type 1!) is to use FPs. That way, you know when you are getting in line, and you can ask the CM for an approximate waiting time. For instance, we've walked right on some rides, but had a 20 minute wait in the FP line at others.

For rides without FP, the standby time is your guide. Of course, you still need to plan for situations where the estimate is off, but we've found that it's usually in our favor.
