Going to DAK solo today!

I'm on the CP, it's my day off, it's early and all my roommates are sleeping and I'm sure everyone else I know is too...so what to do? Go to Animal Kingdom by myself! I work 8-4:30 every time I work, so I can only do DAK on my days off. This is my first time ever going to a park by myself, I am a little nervous that it might be a little lonely/boring but mostly excited to totally take advantage of the solo line at EE! Woohoo

I've done that...and had a blast. I love EE and will ride it over and over. The great thing about living/working there is that if you aren't having fun (is that even possible!) you can just leave without feeling like you've wasted a day. Have a great time!

When I was on my CP... (BTMRR) I would stop at MGM on my way back home just to go on rock n roller coaster... and if I was working evenings I generally started my days playing in the parks... I was 1 of the 2 roommates in my apartment that had a car so I would drop some one off at work and then go into that park and play... I also had a great time.. enjoy your CP!

When I go to DAK solo, lots of times I love to grab the first train out to Conservation Station and go in to watch the veterinarians working all morning. Once I watched them working on an albino snake from Pagani Forest Exploration Trail, and wondered why I go out there (I'm so afraid of snakes!), but it's usually a lot of fun to watch.

It was awesome! I rode EE 10 times...7 times in 45 minutes (Whoo single rider line!) and then another 3 times at the end of the day...I didn't feel so great after the first 7 lol. I ended up going to Epcot after DAK closed and I rode Soarin and TT, and walked around the world showcase to get dinner and watch Illuminations! It was pretty fun! I like being able to do my own things sometimes...it's nice to not have to worry about doing what other people want to do on occasion

I also love to ride EE using the single rider line - rode three times in about 20 minutes last fall. (Three is about my maximum when you ride several times in a row - otherwise, I get too dizzy!)

I also love to take the train up to Conservation Station and watch the veterinary procedures and the animal encounters. They do a little "show" a few times a day, and bring animals on stage and talk about them. Last fall I saw a porcupine, hedgehog, and some birds - extremely cool. You can hang out after the presentation and talk to the keepers. When I'm by myself, I can stay as long as I want (don't have to worry about other people getting bored).

That's why I like taking solo trips so much--the freedom to go where I want. Glad you enjoyed yourself. It sounds like a fun day and everything you did is on my favorites list.
