i'm going to disneyland and california adventure in a week and a half. we'll be in california for a week i'm pretty sure, but only 2 days at the parks (my aunt lives out there). do you think 2 days is enough to do everything? what are the best rides and best places to eat? any info would be reallllly helpful. thanks.

Socca,

I was in Disneyland this past December, and it was quite a wonderful trip. I was there for 3 days with capacity crowds, and I got to see everything I wanted to see several times over. Just make sure to utilize the Fastpass to the fullest, and to partake of the early-entry deal if it's available. In my most humble opinion, the must-see's are 1. Indiana Jones 2. Pirates of the Caribbean 3. Haunted Mansion, the list could go on, I think almost every ride there was fresh, but Indiana and Pirates are some of the highest quality rides EVER. California Adventure wasn't open yet when I was there, but I do know that they have Muppetvision 3D and It's Tough to Be a Bug there, and those are also must-see's. A great place to eat would be the Blue Bayou. Hope that helps.

Thanks Gonzo. It looks like I may be going there next week. Maybe I'll see you there socca princess*.

We were there last summer when DCA was still being built. It is great! DL only takes a day to do everything because it is way smaller than WDW. The DL hotel has a great pool, its themed like Peter Pan and has a cool slide and hot tub. Pirates is better in DL, its longer, it takes you past the people waiting on line and it has a better drop. Hanted mansion is better too, even though i don't like it very much. In frontierland they have these boats you take and paddle around Tom Sawyer isand which is really fun. There is a lot to do in such a small park, you will have plenty of time to everything and you will have a great time!:p

<font color=blueviolet size=4 face="arial black">I went there for 3 days last March & it was a lot of fun! The space mountain in DL is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY better!!! it's darker & faster! it's so great! :) have a great time!!

I went for 3 days in December and got more than enough done at DL.
DL is smaller than MK and its easier to get around...DCA is supposed to be really small(havent been)

Space is so much better at DL!! it actually onyl goes 5 miles faster than the one at WDW...its fills alot faster though..i wonder why...

wow. finally something i feel i know a lot about to help you guys out. i enjoy hearing all you know about WDW because i've only been there once, but i'm going again this summer. but i am a DL expert if you don't mind me saying. although, i haven't been down there since disney cali has been around yet. so sorry, can't help you there.

the must-do's are: indiana jones - the best disney ride ever!, pirates, space mountain, and haunted mansion. these are all better here in cali. i like splash mountain and big thunder too, but i think they're better at WDW. you will definitely be able to do everything in two days. but i recommend you use fastpass whenever you can. also, check out the walk through sleeping beauty castle. the entrance is at the fantasyland side of the castle in this really small door by the princess store. it says sleeping beauty castle i think.

um. i agree. the blue bayou is a great place to eat. also, try the clam chowder at the cafeteria in new orleans square. and the mint juleps there are delish on a sunny california afternoon.

fantasmic! is not to be missed. i hear it's different than the one at MGM, but i haven't seen that one yet, so i can't tell you which one is better. if you want good seats, better sit down at least 2 hours before. it is awesome i assure you.

anyway. i hope this helps at all. have a great time!

tell me how it goes when you get back. i have been to california the state but not any of the parks and really want to go.
