It's no substitute for the water parks. It has a slide, it has some whirling waters, it has some other nice touches, and it is big -- and yes, it's got more than any of the other resort pools in that regard -- but it is a resort pool. It's no Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I tested the theory on my own kids once. They like SAB, and complained that we hadn't spent enough time in it while at BCV. We moved over to BWV for a week, and they complained again, because while we were over at BWV we couldn't hop over to SAB. They like the BWV ppool, but the loved SAB more.
So I asked them if, on our next trip, we just stayed at BCV would they be ok with that, and then we just would skip the water parks in order to have more time in SAB? NO WAY JOSE. They gladly were willing to stay ANYWHERE so long as it meant a trip to their beloved water parks! And no trading time at a water park for SAB! They think BCV is way cool -- but they do not consider it a water park, nor even a close substitute. You can't compare one slide to all the tube rides, toboggans, lazy river, beaches/wave pools, and slide, slides, slides of the water parks. The family tube ride at BB versus a day at SAB? No contest.
Sorry to be long-winded, and as always, that's JMHO, which combined with 75 cents might get you a soda or cup of coffee somewhere...
