Going to AKL

Just finished booking trip for DW and myself to AKL fromn Sept10-19 ....... wooohoooo..... never stayed at a deluxe before and looking forward to this trip....... now just have to wait and wait and wait

You're going to love it! We were at AKL concierge last October and we all had a blast; such a cool resort, especially if you're really into animals!

Becareful, deluxe resorts are addictive.

I love the AKL and when they started selling DVC AKV I had to buy in. The resort has so much to offer, it will keep you entertained when you are not at the parks. Make sure to try Boma and/or Jiko, they are both great. My kids loved exploring the resort and trying to find the different animals.

We have stayed at AKL 3 times now and love it. We will be going back Aug. 24-31 ME usually stops at Pop Century and Coronado Springs before AKL , but I think once we just stopped at Pop before heading to AKL.

The ME route changes, depending on how many are waiting,for which resorts and what time of day/night it is.
We arrived late(~8pm) after flying out of Detroit in a snow storm at March break.
We were just so anxious to finally arrive at the resort.
We were the last of 5 stops.
They did Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, All Star Music/All Star Sport, then us.
I just don't get why the people staying at the $$$$ resort were the last ones off
Once we got there it was amazing ..........I have to tell myself daily that I really can't afford to add on.

We just returned from an April 19-25 visit to AKV. On our way from the airport we dropped off at POP, CSR and then AKL. Your return trip from AKL to the airport will be either 5 or 35 minutes past the hour (at least 3 hrs ahead of your flight time). Our flight home was 3:15 pm so our ME bus was scheduled for 12:05. Please remember to be there AT LEAST 15 minutes ahead. We made a stop to pick up at POP and then headed straight to the airport. Make sure to get an activity sheet when you check in and a 'find the hidden Mickeys' sheet from the Zawadi Marketplace. My 3 teenage daughters had a blast participating in the evening parade in the front lobby, decorating cookies in Boma, medallion rubbings and making beautiful cards from dyed ostrich egg shells. You will have a magical time!!

When we stayed at AKL (Oct/Nov 2007), there was only 1 stop btwn the airport and AKL - the POP resorts. But it will depend more on how many people there are going to any given resort at that time!
