Going the last week of Aug - Labor Day

How nuts is that? Hubby's vacation fits here and it is right before school starts in VA.

I haven't been to WDW once, back in May of '87 when my odest was almost 5. I am now tryong to take the 2 younger ones, an really know nothing. I am glad to have found this board, but will be dragging a overweight hubby with medical issues, a almost 10 yo bi-polar ADHD DS and almost 7yo ADD DD.
We are in the Movies resort, have 7 days in the park, no water parks, hopefully a princess breakfast in Norway. Any other dining suggestions? I thought Hoop dee do, but is it worth it?

Also we will be arriving on Sat around noon, but using Magic Express, so don't plan on getting there until 2 or later.

Any other suggestions to keep my sanity? The budget is tight, but I really want to do this and make it memorial for the kids.

Thanks for any and all help & suggestions for the parks and what to do.

Hi there, we will be there at the same time and at the same resort. AND we are arriving the same day. I am hoping that after Labor day the crowds will drop off because all the kids have to get to school. You know what? Don't sweat anything. Go with the flow. I think if you start over planning you will be disappointed. We first went with a very tight budget and had a great time with our girls. It isn't about spending money at WDW. It is about family bonding time. We did Hoop De Doo but wasn't all that impressed. I think with a family on a tight budget but wants to experience something that perhaps a character breakfast like at Chef Mickeys would be fun. We found Primetime 50's fun and not too bad for $$ but didn't like the food. Make sure you check out all the EMH to maximize your time. Go slow and things will all turn out just fine.
