Hi we go on Tuesday and I have just downloaded the programme. The Fantillusion parade will be on whilst we are there. Does anyone know what the parade route is or where the best place to watch it from?

Also is the Once upon a dream parade still the full length or has it been cut down? if it has does anyone know the route it takes, as I read some where it was going to be shortened but, I can't remember where I read it!!

Any other help with the Christmas program would be great!!

Sorry for all the questions but, I didn't think all this would still be on.

Thanks in advance

Hi. When we were there (and I dont know if its the case all the time as its the first time we have seen it), Fantillusion started at the "bottom" end of Main Street (i.e. by the station), went round the "roundabout" bit, then up Main street, round Central Plaza and out. We watched from the Station and it was fab! Admittedly you dont see the exciting bits of the stops, but we got there about 40 minutes before it started and were right in the middle at the front and got some fantastic photos.

Once upon a dream is still normal length (plus the xmas bits), I think it is getting cut down some time early next year when they are working on the pavements around Fantasyland.

Hope that helps,
Sarah

Fantillusion seems to change direction on a nightly basis as when we were there in November it started by Belle Notte came round the hub and then up Main Street and went round town square before heading out - we stood on Plaza Gardens side just where the hub goes onto main street and had a good view of all the floats and saw the transformations. The main parade I think will still be the same length and when we were there it went the opposite way to what I have seen it going before and started at Town Square and came down main street round the hub and then exited by Belle Notte - it seems to vary from day to day so you would be better asking on the day which direction they will be coming.

We were there in November and the Fantillusion Parade travelled from the Castle End to the Main Square end. We watched the parade from opposite the cul-de-sac where Dapper Dans is. It was an ideal location for one of the stops where the show within a show took place

It was the same parade with a Christmas Parade bolted onto the end which we thought was out of thos world. This parade went in the opposite direction to Fantillusion ie from Main Square to the Castle

The best advice I can give is to plan, plan, plan. Make sure that you plan for Mickeys Wonderland and don't miss a single thing

Sorry for all the questions but, I didn't think all this would still be on.
What a real bonus

Thanks in advance

Have a great time!!

When we were there in December and both parades changed directions on a nightly basis. We saw them from Main Street and the hub.

The Once Upon a Dream Parade is running its full lenght at the moment and will be reduced to five floats from 7 January 2011 until the end of March 2011 while refurbishment work to the pavements in Fantasyland is being carried out.

The is a posting on Salon Mickey about it here.
Once Upon a Dream Parade route to change

Thanks every one for your help. The route map for the shortened parade is really helpful. Going to London tomorrow and Disney here we come on Tuesday.

Really excited:banana::banana:

We watched the parades 2 nights in December.

Fantallusion - finished at bottom of mainstreet both nights, we watched it in the town square and had a great view for DS in the buggy.

Once upon a Dream started at mainstreet, we watched it in the seated are at the castle stage. We were on a bench at the side just at the ropes and although DS couldn't see the floats coming he got a great view of them passing.

Mickeys wonderland was good, I enjoyed the tree lighting and the Christmas touches made to Small World.

Hope you have a great time
