Hi, I have gone to disney world only once and it was solo. I am planning another trip and it will also be solo. I was happy to be there last time, but also felt lonely. If there are others going solo to disney would you like to meet up at the parks. It would be nice to enjoy it with someone else for a change. I've tried asking people to go with me, but no is ever interested. My family do not share my passion for the disney parks. Unfortunately none of my friends desire to go either. So that leaves me alone in the parks the entire time. :( Last time I saw so many families and I longed to join them. I wanted to beg them to adopt me. lol

Hi! I just did my first solo last month and I loved it. But I get it is not for everyone. There is a thread though that was started a few months ago...Friends Seeking Travel Friends...I would try to find it and post there! There are also other threads where people post when they are going solo so they can meet up with people! Meet-ups happen a lot!

You're welcome! I hope it works out for you to find someone to hang out with!! I met up with 2 DISers during my trip. One just to ride a few rides together and one for a meal. I've noticed some will just post their meals planned and such and maybe you can jump in on some of those at least! :)

hey when are you going? if its anytime between oct 1st and 14th id be happy to go to meet up and do a park

I am going back on November 14-15. I went in August. :) It was great! Maybe next time I can meet up with people.

Also consider taking a tour... you spend several hours with the same group of people - and some include a lunch break - so you have the opportunity talk and connect.

Agree! Our tour was adults only and over the next few days afterward I'd see people from the tour and we'd chat for a bit. I never felt lonely, but this did provide a few encounters with a familiar face.

I'm planning my first solo trip and want to make the most of tours now that it's not all about the rides (great times with DD but I do have other Disney interests). Do you have to sign up hundreds of days in advance, like with restaurants?

I am going on a solo trip around that time. It's only kind of solo, since I'm a former CM and know tons of people in the area (and am mostly visiting to see them ), but I don't currently have plans to spend every minute with people, so perhaps we can meet up!

That would be great. :) I'll message you when the time gets closer.

Call and register as early as you can as the tours often fill up long before the day. I met a few people who were able to register the day off, but I've never had any luck doing that.
