After the program, do you have to apply to go seasonal or what is the process to go seasonal? When going seasonal, do you stay in the same role?

First off, you have to meet transfer guidelines. This includes having no more than 5 attendance notations within the last 6 months and no more than 1 reprimand in the past 6 months. What I did was I talked to my managers a few months beforehand and let them know that I wanted to transition to Seasonal status after my program ended and they took care of all the paperwork and whatnot. However, you should be able to also contact Casting directly if you choose.

Also, I'm 99% certain that you stay in your same role. I highly doubt they would take all the time and money it costs to train you in a new role.

It would depend on the work area where the CP Cast Member would like to convert to a Casual Temporary role in.

If the CP Cast Member would like to convert to a CT role in their current work area, they should contact their Salaried Leader, who will liasion with Labor Operations to facilitate the conversion, assuming that the Participant meets Walt Disney World Resort Internal Transfer Guidelines.

If the CP Cast Member would like to convert to a CT role in another work area, they should schedule an appointment with Walt Disney World Resort Internal Casting no sooner than six weeks prior to their Program End Date.

At this time, the Walt Disney World Resort has no posted CT openings. However, there may be openings available for transfers which have not been posted.

Your managers will usually do it, I've never heard of any other way (provided you meet transfer guidelines). If you don't meet transfer guidelines you go into the mix with everyone else on the waiting list (you may even have to wait longer depending on your re-hire status). At the end of your program you have a review meeting where your manager will ask you if you want to go seasonal if you are eligible, it will take a week or two, but should be done relatively quickly.

Here's the lesson: if you want to go seasonal WATCH YOUR POINTS!!!
