I need to get back on track.. the personal trainer I had, stopped training to take care of her husband. I'm looking for a new trainer, but their rates vary so much. I thought I would post here to see what the range is. So, if you have a personal trainer, what do you pay?

I'll start.. the trainer I was seeing, averaged out to $70/per 1 hour session. We would go to the gym once a week and then to her pilates studio once a week. (In addition I went to the gym, 4 other days a week on my own) It seemed high, but she was a really great pilates instructor and that's why I went with her.

Ours is $42 per session if I buy at least 12 sessions at a time for one-on-one training. The tandem training (DH and I have been going together) is $58 per session if I buy in books of at least 12. I'm not currently doing pilates with a trainer, but they are the same price at our gym.

I'm sure it's a lot cheaper here than in your area just because the cost of living in general is less here too.

I'd say that is about what it costs here. Our gym has been trying to get people to use a trainier and for a while offering to split one session with 2 persons. I don't think they offer that any longer.
