Hi all~

I've posted a few times on this board...but have been busy wedding planning. We are getting married in end June but not going on honeymoon until September. Works better time wise and everything for us!!!

Anyone know anything special or deals that happen in early September (even in years past?) Weather?? Crowds???

Any input would be great. Only other time I've been to Disney is March a couple of years ago!

For the last few years WDW has had the free dining package during the month of September. Basicaly you pay rack rate for your room, and purchase your park ickets and you receive the basic dining plan free. We did this a few years back and it wasn't a bad deal. This promotion usually comes out in April and is available to those with the Disney Visa for booking prior to the general public. But don't worry as long as you book early it shouldn't be a problem.

Vacatioing in Septemeber can be mixed. If it's the first week you might still ahve higher crowds due to delayed school starts. However we have gone in late September and have experienced low crowds (compared to that of mid summer, spring break, and winter break). The weather is usually nice too. We were actually there in 2004 for Hurricane Jeane and had no problems! The resort kept us well informed of it's status and any changes to park schedules, plus the crowds were reduced.

If you don't use a discount code or anything on your room you can possibly get free dining in sept. They have had it the last couple of years, but they haven't announced it yet.

We were there the end of last sept and it was nice, a bit hot, but not horrible. Also we had minimal crowds. We got to do everything without major lines.

We are thinking about going back this year too, just not sure yet.

We live only a few hours away and we actually were in Orlando in September of last year... It was quite warm 80-90's and great weather!! The crowds were rediculous too!! Seriously we waited for like 10 minutes to get on rides like splash mountain and the big ones like that!! Great time of year especially cause almost all kids are in school again!!
