Going June 27th-July 4th

Will the parks be packed the week before 4th of July? We had planned to do the early morning thing and late night thing but will we have to pay for parking twice? Anybody have suggestions for a beach to visit? We were thinking Cocoa beach and stopping at the Cape for Kennedy space center. Any thoughts????Go easy on the newbie!!!

Yes, the parks will be packed. And you are smart to do the early/late thing. It gets very hot in the afternoon.

No, you don't pay for parking twice. It's $10 and that lets you enter twice.

The Cocoa beach thing sounds good. With traffic and finding your way, the beach is about 2 hours away. Another idea to consider is driving west to Tampa and visiting BGT. If you drive thru Tampa across the bay, you'll come to the beach on the west side. The drive to BGT is 75 miles and takes 1.5 hours.

musicdude- hey, we're going to be there some of the same dates you are.

I'm a USF/IOA newbie too for the most part so I can't answer about crowds. Since you mentioned KSC though, did you know there's a launch scheduled for the afternoon of July 1st? We've got tickets to see it and I'm so hoping in doesn't get rescheduled!
