My DH and I are going Sept. 10-14, staying at POR, and are on the dining plan. I am planning to use 1 CS, 1 TS, and 1 snack credit per day, per person but that leaves us with a surplus on Sept. 14 (if my calculations are correct) of 1 CS, 1 TS, and 1 snack.

Our flight is in the early evening so we should have the morning and very early afternoon to hang out. Where do you suggest we go for a nice TS breakfast? Keep in mind, we do not have children and are celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary, DH's b-day, and his first time at WDW. I am sure I can find a way to burn those last CS and snack credits (Goofy's Candy Co. here I come!). :woohoo:

Thanks so much!!!

Almost forgot - here's our schedule (hopefully)

Sept. 10 - DHS - Sci-Fi [lunch or dinner]
Sept. 11 - MK (and MNSSHP) - LTT [dinner]
Sept. 12 - Epcot - Biergarten [dinner]
Sept. 13 - AK - Yak & Yeti [lunch]
Sept. 14 - ????

First make sure you calculated your credits correctly. You will get 1 TS 1 CS and 1 snack per night you are there, not per day. If you still have excess credits, I like Boma's breakfast. Or you could consider upgrading one of your meals to a signature dining meal, that uses 2 TS credits. Perfect for celebrating an anniversary.

I'm not sure why you think you'll have a surplus. You get 1 TS, 1 CS, and 1 snack per night of your stay (so if I'm counting right, 4 of each per person).

I think it's the Grand Floridian Café that's supposed to have an amazing TS breakfast, though. We're going for our 5th anniversary and doing 2 breakfasts but both are buffet--Boma and Cape May (which also has characters). Our "nice" meals are going to be dinners.

If you use your credits by the day you are good. You don't have credits on your ck out day unless you didn't use them all.

I did calcuate incorrectly - it can be confusing since I've never been on a dining plan - it wasn't an option the last time I went to WDW. Still, a nice breakfast would be a great way to end our vacation. Thank you for the suggestion so far!

You show Yak & Yeti on one day. The CS for this restaurant has some of the same options as the TS. You could use the CS for that day and carry your TS over to the next for breakfast. I would recommend Kona Cafe for breakfast if you dont want a buffet.

I'm taking DH to Kona Cafe at the Poly (or Grand Floridian Cafe) for breakfast on his birthday (you'll be there part of the time we'll be there - 9/5 to 9/14).

You made the same mistake that I did! I thought I had 7 credits, when in fact I only had 6. I figured that they would give you dining credits for each day you purchased park tickets, not stayed the night...oh well.

Either way, we are doing the same thing, we are going to pay OOP for one meal for our last day breakfast. We want to go with Crystal Palace since we are spending our last morning at MK!

Don't plan too much...

I agree that a nice breakfast might be a nice way to end the vacation. However, keep in mind that you might have a handful of CS and/or snack credits to use up on that last day so you might be too full to do that plus a TS meal.

I would suggest trying to map out how many CS meals you might use at the off times from your other TS meals. Depending how many you use up - and how many snack credits you anticipate using - maybe lay off a TS meal on your last day and just use that to use up any extras you have leftover.

ENJOY!
