Hi, we are planning a mid october trip to WDW and was wondering how the weather is at this time, and the crowds as well. Last year I thought there were some hurricaine warnings in Oct. Is it still good swimming weather?
Is the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween party worth the money? (I have a 10 and 2 1/2 year old) THANK YOU!

Be plenty warm for you to go swimming and have great time at the pools.I have heard so many great reviews on MNSSHP I would have to say it is well worth the money.Crowds are not bad I would say moderate and with fast pass you should be fine.October is still storm season so you might have a bad one.I hope not and wish a wonderful time at WDW.

October is our favorite time of year to visit WDW :thumbsup2 Last year we were at WDW from Oct 8 to 13 and the weather is quite warm during the day. There were few days where we had mid-day showers but nothing that lastest very long. Evenings were pleasant- not too cool.

We are returning this coming October and wouldn't contemplate going any other time of year!

October is one of my favorite months to go to Disney World...the weather..the crowds....are usually favorable that time of the year... :cheer2:
As you can see...my sister, granddaughter, and I are all going October 3rd...The Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is really interesting....

October is also our favorite time to visit. On our last trip the weather was high 70's to mid 80's. They did tell us that was a little warmer than usual for late October but we loved it. The evenings were very mild and made late visits to the park perfect.

We did the MNSSHP and are going again this year. I thought it was well worth the money. The crowds were small, you could walk on most rides, and just seeing the park decorated like that made it worth it. The parade is great and the fireworks are incredible.

I think you will LOVE October at Disney :thumbsup2

We go every October...I can tell you my opinions and advice....hope that will help you out ! We always go the weekend around the 19th.

The past few Octobers were great, low crowds, no rain and it was still on the warm side but not blazing hot.

October 2005 we were there for 7 days (we normally stay for 4) because Hurricane Wilma made me leave my home (Naples/Marco Island). The day we arrived the weather was super duper hot, in the 90's without a breeze...we were dying. MK was jammed packed like it was the busiest time of the year. We chalk it up to alot of people forced to evacuate like we did. Epcot did not seem to be as busy as MK and they had the F&W fest going on. AK was fine and MGM was super busy.

Since we were there we purchased tickets to the MNSSHP...the weather was still hot and alot of people were uncomfortable in their costumes...sweating and very red faced. MK was again packed like I cannot believe, I thought they had limited admission on the party nights but it looked to be as busy as any other time. We like the parade, could not see too much of it because the park was so full. We liked the fireworks and the ghosts on the castle. The large blow up characters were all over the park and that was neat too. They had stations set up around the park for trick or treating and they were giving out fistfuls of candy, nothing exciting. We got our free picture. After doing the MNSSHP once I said I would never do it again but since we are taking our 2 DNieces for their first trip ever this October we will be going to the party for their enjoyment.

My Dh and I have gone a couple of times to WDW in Oct. We go around the time of the Funai Golf Classic. Twice we have been to MNSSHP and really enjoyed ourselves. The park is transformed with Halloween related stuff. Last year there were very few people in Frontierland and Adventureland. We even rode in a log by ourselves on Splash Mountain. Like everything Disney, your experience may be different. We left the day Hurricane Wilma came visiting. There is nothing you can do about hurricanes, so just go with the flow. I've heard that Disney is one of the best places to be in a storm.

Enjoy!
